I’ve been going to see Wakime for about the past 6 weeks as a supplement to my regular lifting workouts and I’m already seeing gains in my ability to lift heavy. My focus has been on deadlifts, and his approach via conditioning exercises and getting comfortable with heavy lifts has meant I have the confidence to start adding weight to the bar. Working out without getting an injury is the most important to me. Wakime corrects my form and I’m not worried about getting a lifting injury while training with him. He’s knowledgeable in multiple areas of athletic training, which can be seen by the degrees and certificates on his webpage. Wakime’s workouts are ones you can take with you to any gym; they’re no fuss, and none of that fancy workout stuff people post for the gram. He actually encourages you to write down the workouts in a folder you keep at the gym and you can take with you. Wakime has his own personal goals and works out with you, which makes you want to have goals and focus on that continual improvement. I thought my deadlift PR was 120 lb, but it turns out it’s 175 lb. I can’t wait to try for my single rep max again in a few weeks to get it above 200 lb. Usually I stop going for myriad of reasons, no diversity, changed instructors blah blah, For the first time I’ve found a gym that marks everything I’m looking for. Diversity ✅. Consistency ✅ small classes✅ I’m seen as an individual who is on a different journey than the next person ✅ there’s more of course. Read moreThis gym is amazing, the trainers are exceptional, fun and experienced. The atmosphere is breathtaking with positivity and awesome workouts that can be customized to your level of fitness. It is a judgement free zone and members are diverse and are of different ages; yes even schoolers that are training to be athletes. Are you having a hard time staying on your fitness journey?
