Finally, a new froyo/elote spot in Manor, much needed! We came a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday at 3pm. They were very busy, all tables were full, and about 10 people were either waiting in line or for their orders. I believe the manager was the one taking our orders, he was very polite. This was our first time here, and we tried our favorites, the mangonada, and an elote. I am from Austin and have tried numerous elote spots (hay elotes being one of my favorites) and this elote blew our minds with how good it was! It was made to perfection, we were craving another one the whole week. The mangonada was also decent, I wish they added more fresh mangos in it. They put way too much chamoy so it was super sweet, so I would ask for less chamoy next time. We also tried their Oreo shake. They have a cookies and cream one too, but they said the oreo one they put more Oreos in it. It didn't really taste like an Oreo shake to me, it was more like a chocolate shake because they mixed it too much. Prices were a little steep compared to most elote type spots. They also have a whole collection of Mexican snacks and palletas they offer we would like to try next time. The froyo bar looked good. I didn't see any sample cups out, but I think if you ask for them they will give you one. My only complaint is they open so late on the weekends. They sell these mini-pancakes which we would totally come for breakfast, but they don't open until 12pm on Saturdays and 2 pm on Sundays sadly. My only other complaint was after I paid, I wanted to text the receipt to me on the iPad options. However, the manager seemed swamped and he quickly hit the print option and then asked how I wanted my receipt after the fact. Seemed like an honest mistake, but I do prefer text options. Overall, we look forward to...
Read moreWe recently visited Jupiter's Ice Cream, and it's what Manor needed. The variety is incredible! They offer everything from ice cream and frozen yogurt to crepes and authentic Mexican snacks like Doritos with cheese, nachos, and fresh fruit. Their menu is extensive, so there's something for everyone. Plus, the prices are very reasonable, making it a perfect spot for families.
The place is clean and welcoming, but unfortunately, the checkout process needs some improvement. Upon entering, it can be quite confusing to navigate, especially when it's crowded. It's hard to tell if the people in front are ordering or waiting for their orders, leading to some chaos. My kids' frozen yogurt and mine melted before I could even weigh it and pay, which was a bit disappointing.
To prevent such issues, I recommend they implement a better checkout system, like a rope system separating those ordering food from those paying for frozen yogurt. Fixing this would make a massive difference in the overall experience.
Despite the checkout confusion, Jupiter's is a fantastic addition to the community. They would easily earn 5 stars if they could streamline this process. Definitely worth visiting for their...
Read moreI have been here several times and we enjoyed the ice cream. The last 2 times have been unpleasant. The last time, which was about a month ago, it took an extremely long time for some banana splits. We ordered 2 splits and 5 cups of ice cream. It took so long with the splits that I had to leave and take the ice cream cups home because they were melting. It took about 35 mins for the banana splits. Today was even worse. We walked in, and we weren't greeted. The 2 young ladies just looked at us and whispered. As the kids looked at the ice cream through the glass, we looked and spoke to them. They were discussing who was next to work. Neither of them wanted to help us. As they hesitated to help us, we gathered the kids and left to go spend our money elsewhere. This was some of the worst customer service that I have experienced in some time. I was really supportive of this place, but I will not spend my money here with workers having this kind of attitude and behavior. ...
