A small misunderstanding about online ticket sales has totally soured my taste for the Mansfield drive in. We ordered tickets online for Wednesday night not realizing that it was carload night for a flat rate. Apparently, on car load night tickets are only available at the gate. When the staff at the gate pointed out what happened, I simply and kindly asked for a credit of the difference ($13.96). The staff member rudely said "that doesn't happen here" and walked back into the booth. When we got situated, I went to the snack shop to try again, where a different staff member told me that they do this sort of thing all the time and was very happy to help, but stated the manager had to issue the credit or refund. He went to get the manager. The same rude person from the gate came over and identified herself as a manager. She proceeded to tell me that she wasn't going to do anything about it, that it was my fault and I should read better next time. She got extremely condescending and started talking to me like I was incompetent. I calmly explained that it wasn't easy to find what she was pointing out on the site and that they should make it a bit more forward. I again calmly explained that I just wanted to pay the flat rate and have the difference credited. By this point she was getting arrogant. Her attitude and tone towards customers is completely unacceptable. I could totally understand that if I was belligerent and loud, not doing something, but that was not at all how I approached this or her. It was a simple mistake, with a simple fix. I hope they will make this right. We are there at least once a week all...
Read moreMansfield Drive-In is one if the few remaining Drive-Ins in the country that play the latest movies! I have been going here for at least 35 years at first with friends when I was a teenager and then with my own children.
I Love the sense of Nostalgia, the sense of camping outdoors with a few camping chairs and a cooler for a few hours while watching 2 of the latest blockbuster movies under the stars, as well as the AMAZING staff who will even help you out quickly...even when your car battery dies!!
I don't know this for a fact, but in my opinion the owners wanted and created an affordable family friendly night out as well as a place for all to Enjoy!!
What I mean by affordable, is ticket prices are often the same as a Movie Theater ticket BUT you can watch 2 movies for the price of 1 Movie Theater ticket price!! There snack bar offers a wide variety of snacks as well as reasonable prices!
On Wednesdays, they offer a Car Load night, which is around $20 for everyone in the vehicle! When my 4 kids were younger, I Definitely took advantage of Wednesday nights in the summer! Now they are grown up and continue the tradition with their friends.
Tips: Bring bug spray, Camping Chairs, as well as a Battery Operated Radio/Stereo (my boyfriend and I use a Milwaukee work radio)so you don't have to worry about your vehicle battery and you can have the audio right next to you. Also, they offer a discount if you buy your tickets online!
In short, if you want to go back in time, enjoy Amazing starry skies, as well as Blockbuster Movies, this is Definitely the...
Read moreThis is so much fun and they have new movies playing so we saw the new Jason Bourne movie which I've never been a fan of but you know my husband like those kind of movies and I do too I just don't like him, Jason Bourne, not my husband LOL. Then we saw The Purge election day and it was awesome and anyone that says that it was racist towards black people it was not because all of us minorities were working together and when I say minorities I include Caucasian people as myself because I am a minority now also. It was not racist towards white people or black people it was just Purge and it's actually very realistic because that's what the world's coming to. Perfect example I've been working for a very very long time I'm 35 years old graduating with my bachelor's degree this winter quarter and disability won't give me disability after my toes and my feet look like this which include a picture of but I don't have any pictures of the theater but it was fun and it has three screens and it was awesome and the food is good but not those are really good just don't go overboard like I did because I got sick when I got home but it was a blast and it's only $20 and you see 2 movies. I go ahead and go to the theater and paid 22 or $24 for one movie without the experience of being outside and having fun and being around other people. And and a regular theater it's not usually by...
