The Furniture Mart — Local services in Mapleton Township

Dave P. is awesome, kind, concerning and conscious of what a customer wants and their many needs. We were welcomed by him, and told him the things we were looking for, and he explained to us where they were all located. He then told us to take our time to look at them, and offered us a drink. He said please look around and he’d touch base with us to answer all of our questions. He then said enjoy as there’s many things to see! He was patient with us and all of our many questions, he pointed out qualities and features of the many different products. He explained all of the promotions, discounts, warranties and was not an over zealous salesman! He was concerned with our wants and needs, and always making sure that we would be getting the best prices. We sat down together, discussed what we had found, what we liked and didn’t. He put together a list of the things we were interested in, and emailed it to us which was very helpful. We had to be a special event and had to leave, he was very understanding and he explained he would email everything to us. He also gave us the furniture layouts with measurements and products. This made it easy to be able to measure and lay out the areas in our home for these furnishings. We were able to then decide what we could and couldn’t use this way too! He followed up with a return text from his personal phone. He sent us info we needed and we set up a return appointment with him. He had what we needed to be able to make a purchase ready and was helpful with us asking things over phone, and answering questions for husband. He again was helpful and so patient with me while I picked out some accessories, moving things and placing things with furniture we were looking to purchase. He was one of the best we have ever had the opportunity to work with and would recommend him to anyone! He and Dawn did a great job with the paper work, emails and explaining details of it all. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star rating is because of the experience I had with our initial salesperson, Stephanie.

I purchased a sectional from Furniture Mart. We were adding on 4 pieces to the floor model, but all of her quotes were for all 11 of the pieces individually, which was quite a bit higher. I called her to see if I could get the floor model price, plus the add-ons. She said she could do that. Once I got there, she told me it was the higher price and then completely contradicted what she had told me on the phone.

Furniture Mart was running a promotion for 45% off my purchase. Stephanie told me there was an additional 5% off offered if I financed my purchase. However, she said it couldn’t be offered if we took advantage of the 45% off so I made it clear multiple times I did not want to finance unless there was a discount for doing so. I never once told her I would do this otherwise.

When I paid for my purchase, Stephanie once again asked if I wanted to finance. I told her the only way I would was if I got the additional 5% off. She said ok and handed me the tablet to apply. After she hard pulled my credit, I found out there was no additional money deducted from my total for financing.

I’m assuming she got a commission for getting me to apply since she was so deceptive about it. My credit card gives me 2% off so I never would have agreed to this if she was honest about it.

I canceled this purchase because of this. I later called a different location and spoke with Josh. He was so great. I ended up making the purchase through him. I could not have been more happy with my experience with him. He is the ONLY reason I will ever consider Furniture Mart for purchases...

We came in on Saturday with a lot of shopping to do. Upon arrival Dave on the furniture side offered us water, provided and overview of where things were located and then let us shop. I hate it when a salesman follows you around - Dave did not do this but instead checked in periodically to make sure we had no questions. This was extremely helpful! We entered the mattress section and were introduced to Dave the mattress salesman. He also allowed us to try as many mattresses as we wanted and was close by when we had questions. It was a full day of shopping with a small break in the middle to grab lunch and check out another local furniture store. Upon return we made our decisions and ended up with 2 king mattress sets, 2 king head/footboards, 4 nightstands, a 2 piece living room set and a 3 piece family room set.
