I am compassionate that there is a lack of staff in this world… but this place is a nightmare. You are 45 minutes from civilization, which is fine but they stop serving food and drinks at 9:30 pm. The Gift shop closes at 6 pm. Then the team is upset when you drive an hour to Costco to get food and drinks. Magically when there has been no staff all day to wait on you at the pool, the bars are closed, the restaurants are closed… they jump out of the bushes and say there is no outside food or drinks allowed. So what do you suggest?? Great! Open this place back up and start taking care of your guests. This is not a Ritz Carlton. The rooms are old, the staff is trying to be nice but they are overworked. The highlight of this trip was the spa and Sylvia. She was so gracious and accommodating. Literally a breath of fresh air. Now Suzanne the spa manager…. Wow! I have never felt more uncomfortable and on edge. I have gone everyday while on my 5 day stay. Each time I’m there she acts like I’ve never been there. Forces a tour and interrupts me when I’m booking more services. Suzanne, please leave me alone. Also, Ramon and Steve were excellent servers and I feel for them as I have seen them working at every restaurant for doubles. The managers need a lesson in getting in the trenches instead of standing there doing nothing while your experience has been awful. Then finishing with the “my pleasure” hospitality statement. So it was your pleasure to have terrible food, terrible service, no food, poor cleaning, outdated rooms, no limo services … I could go on. Don’t stay here. This is a glorified standard...
Read moreAbsolutely phenomenal customer service every single day from the restaurant to the front desk to the pool. Everyone there made sure I was taken care of. My favorite hotel is the Four Seasons Westlake Village, but this location might have to win due to customer service. It was almost perfect with the exception of one waitress who just has poor people skills. Unfortunately, I had her once at breakfast and ironically, she also worked at Cadens that evening where we had a large group and she waited on us. The location of this hotel is tucked off so it is peaceful and quiet. Not alot to do for the kids. However, there is a fantastic water slide and a small indoor zoo that might be of interest if you are into dessert type animals. Otherwise, I would definitely love to return for a couples get away. Great food, great views, Tennis courts. I just can't say enough about the customer service from the time you pull up to the entrance to where ever you end up...
Read moreWe had an amazing time at Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain. To start off, our room was upgraded at check in by Elias Pizano. He was so kind and helpful at check in… very pleasant reception after a long trip from Florida. The room was beautifully appointed and the view breathtaking. The pool area was our favorite stop. I have to mention Anna and Ivan at the pool. They were both always available and friendly. We also had the chance to meet Ron, our hiking guide, he was very informative and pleasant. And on our last day, we met Lucinda at the to go cafe. She was so sweet and made the best iced coffee to our daughter. This place is amazing, but the staff certainly makes it unforgettable. Don’t think twice. Book your next trip to...
