The only thing this place has going for them is its location and view.
The service is just awful. The staff seems very underqualified to be working at a 5-star hotel. Theyâre kind of robotic unable to make rational decisions to take care of their guests.
Here was our experience:
Night #1: We go to Ignite at around 4:30pm to grab a table because we noticed that more than half the restaurant was empty. We were told by their robotic host who was speaking in a way that was obviously not natural to her (it was very awkward) that they were âfully committed for the rest of the eveningâ and that they probably wouldnât have anything available until 7:45pm. We explained that we just traveled hours to arrive and were waiting for our room to be ready. All we want is a drink and a quick bite. Nope, she couldnât provide us anywhere to sit. Whatâs crazy is 2 hours later, we still saw many empty tables. It just made no sense.
Night #2: We figured we can give them another try since we werenât starving at we knew what to expect as far as being able to get a table. So we check in at the front around 5:30pm and we were told that they can reserve us a table for 7:30pm or later. We did 8:30pm. We arrived and they tell us that half their menu (the sushi menu that we wanted to order off of) wasnât being offered because they ran out of sushi rice and it would take an hour to make it. Note that the menu is done being offered at 9:30pm. Being a 5-star hotel, you would think that theyâd be proactive and notice at around 8:00pm that they were running low on sushi rice. So then you make more!
They offered 2 free appetizers, which we accepted even though that wasnât what we wanted. We were hungry. It was 8:30pm and there was nowhere else to eat at that point. The food wasnât great.
They left a message on our room phone offering a âmemorable experienceâ the next evening. At that point, we were done with them. And the...
Read moreI am so sad! I hate writing negative reviews! I Had not been in about a year so I recently took a friend for a girls night. It was a Thursday and the restaurant was packed by 6pm. We looked for the hostess stand that usually sits at the top of the stairs but it was gone. After standing around for about 15 minutes trying to flag down a server, I was told it was seat yourself. Since there were no tables, I asked if there was a waitlist. I was told no, you just need to see a table open up. Seriously, having to stalk a table at a five star resort is pretty ridiculous, both for the people waiting and for the people seated. I was a bit shocked. We finally saw a not great empty table to the side (no way were getting a table outside even if we stalked them for an hour with all the others waiting about). We ordered some sushi rolls and my friend ordered a steak after getting menus after a twenty minute wait). Sushi menu is greatly reduced and only had salmon, tuna and yellowtail on it. There used to be so much more. At least the California roll still has fresh crab. The role were ok, the fish was fresh. My friend enjoyed her steak and the spring onion soubise was amazing! All in all, I may not go back, but I have such amazing memories I want to believe it was just an off night. Also, please bring back the...
Read moreFirst time here just my wife and myself, sat outside but propane heater ran out of propane, never did get refilled so it got really cold. After the main course came out they did a server shift change, over 20 minutes sitting in the cold with no heat and nobody checking on us we decided to go inside, and hopefully get a dessert menu there. After stressing our concerns we got a table inside, got the dessert menu immediately server gave us a bill as soon as dessert was ordered but way before it arrived without any asking of whether we wanted more drinks or coffees or dessert beverages. Sat here for 30 more minutes and still nobody came to grab the payment so we had to go up and pay ourselves, just feel the service is not spot on and has lots of room for improvement!! $180 tab for two people, I would expect service would be more personal and attentive... Especially when there is plenty of availability on tables and not overwhelmed...
