Horrible greedy people run this bridge, charging working class people exorbitant fees to travel to the shore. Do you like routine and predictability when traveling? Forget it, as the bridge operators enjoy rolling out egregious toll increases on a regular basis, and toying with drivers by changing the 'card only/cash only' lanes on a seemingly daily basis.
