I absolutely loved this dress shop! When I got engaged in July of 2023, I had no idea where to even start to buy a wedding dress, so of course I tried one of the larger chain stores (DB). I was on a time crunch since we decided to have a surprise wedding at our engagement party in September.

While I was trying on dresses at DB, I couldn’t grasp what the big deal was on why so many women loved the process of trying on and finding the right dress. It did not feel like a joyous occasion to me. My bridal party and I weren’t allowed to take any dresses off the rack, we felt rushed to pick out dresses, and the selection didn’t seem all too impressive. The room I tried on the dresses was tiny with no mirror. I didn’t get to see how I looked in my dress with the mirror outside the dressing room until AFTER my bridal party saw me. The staff were walking by with trash bags due to being near closing time. None of the dresses fit right, even with the tools they used to adjust it. I did not feel beautiful at all.

My maid of honor booked an appointment for me at Blush and Ivory Bridal Boutique. I wasn’t all too thrilled at having to look at more dresses again, I was just ready to be done with it.

I am so glad I went to the appointment! This place showed me how a bride is supposed to feel; I felt like an absolute princess in there!

I was sweetly greeted at the door by Katie, the dress consultant. Katie let me and my bridal party know we could choose however many dresses we wanted and even take them off the rack to look at them better! Katie made suggestions and seemed genuinely interested in making me feel welcome and important.

After making our selections, and Katie making a couple as well, she escorted me to a large fitting room. The room had several mirrors in it. From my previous experience with DB, I expected Katie to walk out of the room and me to try on the dress by myself. I was a bit taken back when she shut the door with both of us in the room. Even with the dress rack filled with my options, Katie, and me in the room, it was not crammed at all.

My uneasiness with Katie in the room with me faded quickly. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed. After trying on the first dress and her taking her time to make sure it was properly fitted, she stepped back and let me look at myself in the mirror to admire the dress. Not once did Katie ever rush me through the process. I was able to form my own opinion of each dress I tried on before I walked out of the room to show my bridal party.

When I found THE ONE, I couldn’t stop crying. Katie let me stand there in the dress for as long as I wanted. She knew how special that was for me. Katie was able to find me a seamstress who could do my alterations for me in the rushed time. She really went above and beyond for me.

I would recommend this bridal shop to anyone who wants to actually enjoy the process of shopping for a wedding dress!

I had been procrastinating with finding a dress because I didn’t have a great first experience. I was scrolling online one day and saw a dress and I knew right then it was the one. I called Blush and Ivory and spoke with Katie and she was soo nice and helpful. She said they actually had the dress in the shop and accommodated an appointment for me on short notice!! I got to the shop and it was the most amazing experience! Katie was so knowledgeable about the designer I liked and the whole ordering process. As soon as I put on the dress I felt like a princess, and knew instantly it was the one! Katie looked it up and made sure I could order the dress in my size and that it would be delivered in time for my destination wedding! I found my wedding dress with the help of Katie at Blush and Ivory Boutique and had an AMAZING experience. I was indecisive on the style that I wanted and ended up coming back to the store three times before I made my decision. Katie assisted me throughout the process and made it so much easier for me to try on dresses and for my guests to see me in them!
