Shirk's Homemade Candies — Local services in Marion

We went there to buy some xmas candy for gifts. As soon as we walked in we noticed a musty smell, like a moldy basement. Anyway we purchased some candy for gifts and left. When we got home we tried to eat some of the candy, but to our dismay it smelled and tasted like a musty old basement. We had to throw all the candies away. we notified the owner of the store, and she offered to refund our money. We did not go back because we felt that since she works all day in the store , she would be immune to the musty smell or taste of the candy. I hope they do something soon to remedy the problem because we used to love...

Small place with good candy. Only had a couple buckeyes, a turtle, and another candy I can't remember but they were good. Only had buckeyes from there and a Bob Evans and without a doubt, buckeyes here at Shirk's are worth the price. Especially im the quality, best peanut butter and chocolate candy I ever had.

Also to add to it, the guy at the register was friendly. And he even wrapped the two packs of buckeyes I bought since I'm flying back home with those to share with coworkers.

I'm coming back here whenever I fly out back...

I took my sons there this afternoon so they could pick out their own, very special piece of candy. Both boys were delighted by all the fun, kid-friendly selections in the shop. They were jumping up and down with excitement.

They also have a very nice selection of Jelly Bellies that you could mix and match or buy pre-packaged. The homemade chocolate confections also stood out-I purchased dark chocolate covered oreos and dark chocolate covered marshmallows.

I was also pleasantly surprised to see they had salt...
