Ben's Ace — Local services in Marlette Township

Been here many times and everytime I swear, I won't go back.....but then something comes up to where, I don't have a choice!!! I then swear again never to return. Have bought 2 guns there, tried to purchase cabinets, tried to get a piece of wood!!! My husband is handicapped, and always has a hard time finding help so after walking around aimlessly for 10-15 minutes without any sign of a person that works there....to someone who has leg issues is a lifetime!!! He usually gets upset and leaves without anything. You try to het help from the desk, where they supposedly are there to help customers with roofs, siding,cabinets the "bigger jobs" I guess if you are a contractor, oh they are more than willing to help you, (and believe me they know the contractors)!!!! If you are a everday guy who wants to purchase something and walk up to this desk, 1st) they tru to ignore you #2)Then they totally give you the eye and continue there conversations about, football games, hunting, etcetera. Then when they are good and done, they may ask you if they can help you??? There are like 3-4 men behind this desk besides the 6 maybe more in the OFFICES!!! FORGET THEM GETTING OFF THERE BUTTS TO HELP AS THE GAZE OUT THERE 8X8 GLASS WINDOWS!!!! The only dept that will help you is the wepons where people are 10 deep waiting on ONE POOR GUY!!!! I have always met some of the nicest people while on the road and Ben's Ace proved to be yet another great surprise! Stopped in desperately needing an item they typically do not sell in the store. The sweet lady at the front counter immediately went to ask someone else if they had it or knew where I could find it. They actually had the product on hand for use in the day to day operations of the store. Immediately they when to their stock room to retrieve it and looked up what their pricing would be. Got me back on the road and made the rest of my trip much better. Only 2 regrets from my visit.. did not catch the nice ladies name in order to send a note to the store owner to commend her tor being so helpful and not having time to try one of the local restaurants that...

Big store, bad service. Lots of room for improvement on the service end. Wasted an hour of my life waiting on the hardware guy and the end result was i had to pay for a part he ruined. This ultimately cost me hundreds of dollars in time and money because this place can cut threads on new pipe. Next time, just tell the customer that you cant perform a service.
