Alnwick Community Center — Local services in Maryville

I applaud the efforts of a few people in that community who are trying to keep the community center going. But that building is pitiful. Very old, run down and no way can it be energy efficient. It amazes me that there are quite a few groups renting space there. I don't know if their prices are reasonable or not. They have a gym that needs some TLC in the form of lighting improvements and the floor needs a redo. Otherwise its in good condition with heating and air already installed. Quantum Matters is a great Meta Physical shop offering Therapies and great Workshops on using rocks, herbs, oils and enhancing your abilities. They have a wonderful assortment of rocks, crystals, art work, herbal combos, and jewelery. They are welcoming and invite everyone to just stop by and have a cup of tea or coffee you make yourself. Mistic Summer and her crew are friendly and knowledgeable. They are the only ones currently open from 11 am till 8 pm Tuesday thru Saturdays at the center. I have been visiting the Alnwick Community Center building for various reasons since I moved to the Maryville area 2 years ago and have always enjoyed the experiences. The past month or so the place seems to have changed. The bathrooms were filthy on both occasions I visited and the hallways were dirty as well. The front garden area has improved on a brighter note.
