So I went in and asked the woman for a specific shade of red, because I wanted my hair done for my upcoming wedding. She said she didn't feel comfortable doing the shade of red I requested in case I didnt like how it turned out, she didn't want to be the one to ruin my wedding day. So, instead she found a red that she apparently preferred and continued to color my hair. After it was washed and dried my hair color had hardly changed, she chose an extremely light red shade, whereas I specifically wanted a dark, noticeable shade. After everything was done she even commented at the end how she wished it had turned out darker! WTF! If she had listened to me from the beginning it would have been darker as I wanted it! And instead of apologizing she continued to be bubbly and have me pay for a hair color I didn't really want. The only bright side was the prices are...

Salon 1 is AWESOME. It's super affordable, everyone is so friendly, and they're great at what they do!

As someone who has had more than a few awful experiences with hair cuts, and even more sub par ones, I was very leary the first time I got my hair cut with them, and so I asked for a simple trim. Karri did a great job. However, I realized I wanted more than a trim and so I came back the next day and Joni finished the job! They were both so friendly and listened to exactly what I wanted.

Since then, I've returned two more times (which is my record for using the same salon), and left nothing short of happy each time. Joni is so great to talk with and she is amazing at cutting hair! When I move out of Maryville, there's a very good chance I'll come back just to get my hair...
