🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 “The Highlight of Our Entire Trip to Maui!”

I can’t say enough good things about this experience , it was hands down the best part of our vacation! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and taken care of. Nick was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about sharing the island’s beauty and ocean culture.

We started with surfing, and even though we were total beginners, Nick had us standing up on our boards in no time. The waves were perfect for learning, and the energy was so positive , it felt like we were out with an old friend rather than a tour guide.

After that, we snorkeled in one of the most beautiful reef areas I’ve ever seen. The water was crystal clear, and we swam with sea turtles, schools of tropical fish, and even spotted a manta ray. It was like swimming in a living postcard.

Everything was provided — gear, snacks, and even GoPro footage of our surf session (which we’ll cherish forever). The entire day was seamless, safe, and filled with true aloha spirit. You can tell this isn’t just a job for Nick , it’s a calling.

If you’re coming to Maui, do not miss this experience. Whether you’re new to the ocean or experienced, it’s unforgettable. We left with sore muscles, big smiles, and memories that will last a lifetime.

We have been to Maui several times but have never tried surfing before. Nick was recommended to us by a local so we were confident that we would be in good hands. I first gave Nick a call because I wanted to ask if our special needs child would be able to participate. Not only did he reassure me that he was equipped to handle her in the water, he actually brought out someone to swim/surf with her specifically. If that isn’t service, I don’t know what is. Nick was super easy to communicate with and he provided shoes and rash guards for everyone as well. Everyone had a blast, and Nick had us all standing on our boards within minutes into the lesson. Being a local himself, Nick knew exactly where to take us. Water conditions were great, everyone had a blast! Nick even surprised us with having a photographer on site to capture some photos as well. We will definitely be booking with Maui Island Surf and Snorkel again on our next trip out..and...

Nick was fantastic. If he doesn’t answer, leave a message and he’ll definitely call you back. He took my sons and I for a surfing lesson. He pinned a meeting spot with the beach right by the road and met us there with the boards, rash guards and water shoes. After a brief land lesson, we were in the water and catching waves quickly. He explained things very clearly and was very encouraging. We had so much fun, we wanted another session the next morning. He was worried about the wind forecast, though, so he advised against it, putting our experience ahead of his pocketbook. He was able to then offer an evening surf lesson with one of his other instructors, Chad, who was also awesome. He took us to somewhat bigger waves and helped us catch many great ones.
