I wasted $24 on rotting strawberries at Lillian's Farm Market. I stopped for the first time yesterday (June 2nd). I asked about the strawberries and was told by the woman at the cash register that they were very good. I purchased 4 quarts at $6 a quart.They were placed in a refrigerator within 30 minutes. A mere 16 hours later they are garbage. I got the impression that these were fresh out of the field and therefor I would have a number of days to use them. Purchased produce today and I was very disappointed bythe lettuce- rotten throughout- the tomatoes were sold in pint containers- 2 good ones on top- 2 badly rotted underneath- celery packages so that you couldn't see the ends and they were brown- very expensive for rotted vegetables- haven't opened the corn yet but just don't want other innocent people to be cheated- be very careful- there are plenty of stands that have fresh produce, this is not...
