In December 2020 my family and I scheduled an appointment with an on site photographer(Maddies Pumpkin Patch Employee).
Location: Good When you drive in there is no clear indication which way to drive in, ticketing booth, parking spaces. A man chased us down because we needed to pay, apparently the ticketing booth is further in so you have to pass the designation parking area. So I am assuming you drive in then back out to go park??? From the beginning it was as if you simply drive up to a family home with a bunch of pine trees No organization whatsoever throughout the farm. It smells like livestock and the animals are simply roaming around, not at all professional. The animals should be kept in their designated area and the visitors should walk around without fear of their children encountering the animals.
The Farm is pretty basic, they did a good job decorating and had props throughout this place it was nice. They did slack on decorating the trees throughout the property. There were no signage to indicate a flow of traffic, people were walking in different directions, at times a bit lost as to what area to take photos. I live in the city but I travel to upstate New York, New Jersey, Connecticut etc; so I am used to themed farms. So Maddies is more on a mediocre level compared to others across the U.S. But considering the geographical location of this property, this attraction locally can be viewed as pretty nice; as there is nothing else like this in a radius of maybe two hours. But the farm is desert like with dead dry vegetation which is what you see all over this part of Texas. So it is hard to capture the true essence of Christmas without capturing the rest of the dead farm and dirt.
Photographer Experience: Very Poor I don't recall the photographer's name, she was pleasant the entire time. What I am upset about is the photos, we paid $250 for family and a few individual retouched photos....Photographer had to be emailed several times to ask for the digital images and the first email included a few photos, no family group photo. I asked her for them she said she would look for them, didn't send anything had to email her again to no avail. The few photos she managed to "retouch" were of poor quality. Our baby was wearing a dress and in some photos her diaper was still showing, obviously she DID NOT retouch the photos. Others the angle was bad or we were missing our bottom half of our bodies. I do not recommend hiring the farm photographer.
I have added a couple photos unfortunately the photographer photos were quickly deleted as they were...
Read moreWe were expecting a pumpkin patch, but the pumpkins seemed to be more for decorations and the whole place were different areas for photo shoots. There were no signs telling us anything, and we wandered around for a bit expecting to find a place where we could pick out pumpkins to take home. And that is ultimately what our kids were looking forward too. But we left without any pumpkins, which in my opinion defeats the purpose of a pumpkin patch. Upon arriving we paid $45 ($5 for my one year old baby) and the staff member basically came to us and asked us to pay the entrance fee, but then had no other interactions with us. Overall, the experience was odd and we didn't stay more than 40 minutes. We ended up going to the grocery store to get...

They have no activity for the kids besides the little tractor ride and that’s because she only got on it once than the guy that rides the tractor left and was no where to be found ! And I saw on facebook they were gonna let the kids do pony rides and there was no pony rides ! I absolutely had the worst experience !!! Especially after paying $40 and basically the only thing that i guess was actually going for the farm was the swing would rather have token her too the park and saved...
