Not a happy camper. Anything fresh is suspect, shopping for box or canned goods is good. I purchased lamb chops on Friday for Sunday dinner. The chops (from the fridge) were soured and stinking when I took them out to cook. On Monday I returned to the store and asked for the manager. Told him what had happened and he told me that I waited too long to cook the chops. After an argument he offered to replace the ribs. NO WAY was I going to accept a replacement. I wanted my money back. He finally gave me a credit.....NEver buy meat at this store if you are keeping it a day or two before you cook it. Ground meat is colored (check the inside color of the meart vs the outside color). I purchased 2# of grapes the one pound was half rotted and crushed. I returned them the next day and again had to argue with the manager to get my money back since I did not keep my receipt from the day before. Dont buy any thing that you think is fresh without verifying the quality and always keep your receipt bc you will be...
Read moreI've lived in the area for over thirty years and have been going to this small local grocery store for the duration as it passed from Shop n Save, Sparkle, and now Kuhn's. It is very convenient to have a grocery right down the road.
That being said, the quality of the food has severely declined in the past few years. It has gotten to the point where I won't buy produce or other perishables here. Too often, it is poor quality or downright bad. Even with non-perishable food, I have belated noticed an expired date that should have been removed from the shelf.
I am 100% certain I am not the only one to have noticed this decline and it is very disappointing. I want to be able to do my grocery shopping at this store, but it's just more trouble than its worth...
Read moreThis place used to be a quality grocery store but has been on the decline over the last few years. I can't emphasis this enough, CHECK YOUR RECIEPTS! They can't even get the sales or prices right on many items and end up "accidentally" over charging. It's an amateurish antic from a company that has been in business for years. The deli is no better with the employees consistently "forgetting" to tare the purchases so you end up paying a few cents more than what you should. This doesn't seem like a big deal but when you shop here daily, it adds up. My best advice is just avoid it, with many other better markets in the area. Hopefully it'll go under and Sparkle or Shop n Save will come back to the...
