Giant Eagle in McDonald, PA....POOR, POOR, POOR Customer Service... Was greatly DISAPPOINTED in this store. 5:48 pm, First off I had forgotten my Giant Eagle card, after several attempts to obtain it through the system, the cashier suggested I hurry as he had a line forming, (Line consisted of 1 woman who just approached the line).. The cashier then suggested I should just start a new card, I agreed, however he then said "Well I'm not able to do it, as you can see I have a line started" again consisting of 1 woman who said she could go to another line, she didn't mind. The cashier then waved her and said no stay. I in turn waited for him to start a new card, he then again turned to me and said you will have to pay for your groceries as he did not have time to start a new card, again as "he had a line starting"... frustrated at this I paid for my groceries not receiving any discounts, paying full price and left the store. Once home, I realized how much more I had paid for my groceries and decided to return to the store, after making my super... Now time is 8:34 when I return to the store receipt and groceries in hand... I approach the customer service / office area... where I began to explain my story of what occurred earlier that evening. To then receive from the young gentleman behind the desk, sorry you will have to come back tomorrow as we have closed out our registers already at 8 pm... dumbfounded I walked out of the store looked at my receipt which said store did not close till 9 pm. So I spun around reentered the store, again going to the office area and kindly said your store does not close till 9. He in turn said "yeah, I know but we close the office at 8 pm, you will have to come back." then another person, popped out of a back room and confirmed I would need to return the following day as they already closed their registers for the evening...... I left the store, completely stunned by the lack of customer service in this store... I plan on returning the remaining groceries that I purchased from the store and will no longer patronize this store... Udder blatant disregard of their customers... and although I am only 1 person, I will spread the word of my experience... perhaps others will have same or similar experiences and will also ban themselves from patronizing this store... Shame on them......
Read moreMy entire family has been having problems with the pharmacy for years, like when they shorted my grandfather on Percocet. For the past two months, they completely messed up my prescriptions. Most recently, I called Wednesday for a refill and they said they’d call my doctor. Three days later I go to pick them up, only to receive one of my prescriptions. So I mentioned the other two and I hear “sorry. We’ll have to call Monday.” You said you would call Wednesday. It may not seem like a big deal but when I said I needed them I needed them: anti seizure medication and antidepressants, that I’m very dependent on to function and not kill myself. This isn’t a restaurant where mistakes are welcome like forgetting a side of ranch, people’s health depends on you. They have also been late numerous times with my mothers blood pressure medication; that’s not okay. Once or twice maybe but there is always an issue. Go back to...
Read moreVERY rude and ignorant employees (some not all). Who would hire and keep them after all the complaints about their completely ignorant behavior to customers, especially nice customers? Nothing gets done about theses employees after management is told about them, those same ignorant employees are still there acting the same way to customers because they know they can get away with it.
I wouldn't care if their prices were 1/4 of any other store I would rather pay more somewhere else than deal with the trash they hire being so ignorant...
