Update to the update: their CEO reached out again and appeared to be sincere in his apology. Perhaps a misinterpretation of the $25 on my part. I increased to 4 stars because their repair/service department really is great.
Update to my review: they reached out and apologized, however continued to let me know that they have a small profit margin. They then offered me $25 to give them a 5 star review. Yikes! As one of my followers said, “are they more concerned about improving the perception of integrity than integrity itself?”
I did increase my review to 3 because they do have a great service department. You don’t need to wait nearly as long as you would at the Apple Store. That said, the manager at the westside location was a total jerk and their CEO spent more time explaining their profit margin than apologizing. Bribing me was the cherry on top, so to speak. So no, I am not taking their money and have no plans on purchasing at their store. Will I take my computer in to be repaired again? Perhaps. First I will check elsewhere though.

Since this was not my first experience buying Apple devices from these folks, I knew what to expect and thus had high expectations. I was not disappointed. The first step was a phone call to them. Sam handled it very well - both professionally and personally. He answered all of my questions in a technical manner befitting my expertise, i.e., one step above novice. At the end of the call, I placed my order for the two items. In a matter of a few days, I was notified that the watch and tablet were ready for pickup. For two hours following my arrival, Beau and Bob handled me in a manner that was both expeditious and thorough. They performed a data migration from my older iPad to my new Air while also completing a full set-up of my new watch included pairing it with my iPhone and including all my preferences for settings. Finally, they spent time explaining the operations of both devices at a level I could comprehend. It was a 40 minute round trip plus 20 minutes in the store and it was a complete waste of time.
They told me they couldn't tell if the airpods were covered or not, making some excuse about "certain manufacturer numbers".
The whole thing felt scammy and sneaky so I kept asking questions and after quite a few of them I finally got them to admit that they were going to charge me a 30-dollar diagnostic fee (they tried to get me to sign something agreeing to that without even telling me about the cost) and then they might charge a 90-dollar fee to replace the earbud if they determined it wasn't covered (which they said they couldn't know until 5-7 business days ... ?!?). All for something that is supposedly covered by Apple!!
