I am a returning customer cause the GM says "we are only a heart beat away where we treat you like family. Well I'm actually family trying to purchase my 2nd vehicle which I put in to build a Tahoe the 1st part of January and here we are in mid July with no promises only lies being told to my wife by a young gentleman name Brady telling my wife you would be lucky to get your car sometime next year. Which wasn't told to me by one on the Managers. Due to the lack of communication within the Jim Turner Family. I got into my car and drove North on IH 35 and purchased me a Tahoe with no hassles or lies and was possibly the best car buying experience ever. It's been over 10 days and not one person has attempted to call me to get my side of the story only the Manager's wife expressing her opinion on how my wife should have handled the situation.. I guess friends are the only ones that get treated like family cause family here get treated like strangers. Also found out if you leave a bad review Jim Turner will block you from FB, Class Act from a dealership that prides themselves on customer service. I've been working with Jim Turner Chevrolet since January of 2023 on a Build of a new Tahoe and have been in contact with several employees one being a family member. After several lies and false promises I purchased a new Tahoe on July 8th from a Chevy dealership where they actually do treat you like family with my best car experience ever. Jim Turner Chevrolet has my personal cell number not once did they ever call me for updates I had to call or text them with sometimes never receiving a response back. After the purchase of my new Tahoe I never received a call from anyone from Jim Turner until July 19th the Manager inviting me to come to the dealership to speak with Derek Scott the GM not a phone call just a text message. The owners review is a joke and a generic one that is not a good example especially when he just received a customer satisfaction award. Not one person has called to ask why was our family experience so bad. This proves my point there is no customer service after a sale only false promises given to try to get your sale. Read moreAfter being jerked around by another dealership in Austin, I did a Carfax search for certified preowned cars and one on the Jim Turner Chevrolet's website came up.
I was able to research the car via the VIN and Carfax. One big thing was that all the service by the previous one owner was done at Jim Turner Chevrolet. I checked the car on JTC's website and I was given the out the door price; list of the car, tax/title and doc fees. With my down I knew exactly how much I needed to finance.
I inquired about the vehicle and Randi let me know it was available. I would consider JTC to be a small town dealership. Since it is an hour away I made arrangements to come see this vehicle as well as another Randi suggested. Upon arrival, Randi turned me over to Victor to continue the sale. I think Randi might be a sales manager (I forgot her title) hence the turn over.
We took a test drive with Victor and we decided to move forward with the purchase. We had done some rate shopping but had not secured financing on our own. It was close to closing time so I was hesitant, however Victor said we could get it done and would stay. They were able to fine a bank to match the rate I had found and while doing this the dealership closed. Everyone associated with my deal stayed.
I dealt with Clay Lassiter (FI guy), James Feathers (GM) and met Stan Spitzer (Pre-owned manager). All were friendly, helpful and provided that small town feeling you miss in the big city.
Upon closing the deal I had asked Victor to provide me more information about the vehicle (service history and any codes) as well as fix something I found and ensure the vehicle was detailed again (it was already looking good). We worked out delivery and Victor followed up with me on Monday when they opened (we did this late Saturday).
I received the vehicle at my house looking good and topped off with gas (they had to travel an hour to get to me). I did notice one small issue I had missed during my initial look over. Victor told me he would help me get it taken care of.

Read moreThe process was straightforward and transparent. While it seems unthinkable to pay MSRP, that's just how it is in today's market. I appreciate the honest pricing without the hassle of unwanted packages, protections or market adjustments. Brady and James were excellent throughout the process while dealing with the lack of information and response from GM. Blake was great on the finance side of the deal, informative while not seeming pushy. Brady has definitely won you a long term customer. So glad I gave y'all a call. Update.... I have dealt with numerous dealers in the past where it seems Iike they kiss up to you to sell you the vehicle and then treat you like you are the biggest pain in their backside when you need your vehicle serviced, not so at Jim Turner.
So I needed to get the first service for my truck. Just a standard oil change and tire rotation. I submitted a scheduling request online on a Monday and was contacted about an hour later. When I asked how soon I could get it serviced (thinking it would be a week or two) they told me the soonest was that Wednesday. I wasn't able to make that day so I needed to check my schedule and said I'd call back.
When I called back later that day, they asked when I was looking to get the service performed, I told them as soon as possible as I was going out of town Friday, but I know it would take awhile. I was told they had a 230 appointment the next day.
Went in for the service and was done in about an hour and fifteen minutes and the truck was washed.
I feel like this is some kind of dream to find a dealership this responsive and customer service oriented.
I cannot express how pleased I've been with Jim Turner Chevrolet and the friendliness of the staff there.
