My daughter is using my old flute that my parents got through Progressive and when a pad fell off the band teacher asked if I was ok with it being sent there for repair. I said yes b/c 20-25 years ago they had great customer service. I received a phone call 3 1/2 WEEKS after they had it to tell me my total was $262! For a pad??? So when I called I was told everything else they did but never called to see if that was ok OR if I could afford it. I was told by Frank in repair that if I don’t pay they keep my instrument. So I paid over the phone. Was told it would be delivered the next day to my child's school. Two days later they call with me to verify which school. IT WAS DELIVERED TO THE WRONG SCHOOL!!! Once I saw the bill it wasn’t marked as pad they had it say make playable. He took a small dent out of the headpiece that I had done 20+ years ago. That did not affect the way it played! I WILL NEVER TAKE AN INSTRUMENT THERE AGAIN AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM! They also got rid of the cleaning rod for it and I had to purchase a nee one from Amazon. Read moreThis is my second time now coming to Jeff from Progressive music for saxophone repairs. I came to him for a fairly standard tune-up and to replace a few things on the horn. He gave me a timeline for when he'd be able to get my work done, and unfortunately it didn't quite work with my gig schedule. He saw some bandwidth in his schedule that day and decided to take my horn fix it up right then and there! It was so kind of him to accommodate and my horn is back in tip-top shape! I was in and out within an hour.
