Beau Pre Golf Course — Local services in McKinleyville

Probably the worst golf experience I've personally ever had because of the awful maintenance. It felt like the course was not as much a golf course, but more like the remnants of an abandoned backyard. The greens were the only decent part of the course. On some tee boxes, you couldn't even stick your tee in because it was all hard dirt. Others had long grass with flowers all over it. Awful course for the price. Really frustrating if you're a decent golfer who can strike the ball consistently, because the grass is not consistent from my experience. Staff was friendly. My wife and I were staying in Trinidad just up the road and wanted to play nine locally so we stopped in at Beau Pre. Friendly and accommodating staff. It was 2-for-1Tuesday and we rented a cart. It’s a nice little Muni course with some interesting holes. Greens overall in decent condition.
