Orick Market — Local services in McKinleyville

I've stopped here several times on bike tours and road trips. They have an amazingly broad selection considering how isolated they are. Look forward to shopping here whenever I'm in town

To the whiners here:

(1) it's surprising they have any produce and meat at all; they could go 7-11 and carry no fresh food. This isn't San Francisco and they're not Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. If you MUST have freshly harvested eggplant or bok choy bring it with you.

(2) sometimes small stores like this have only employee on duty; if that person's late, delayed, whatever the hours become irregular. Be glad you've never been late to anything.

1st time in here and I had a wonderful experience at this store. The hot chocolate was very delicious and rich tasting. The prices were not too bad for everything I bought. Hidden gem of a local business with fresh produce, dairy, and drink selection despite the remote location of this shop! (And so many more products available.) I was great to be able to pick up essentials for my camping/road trip without having to go out of my way. Happy to support a locally owned business with friendly, welcoming staff.
