I have to let the secret out. If I was back in NJ, arguably one of the top two pizza states in the country, I might not reveal how fuxking awesome this place is bc I wouldn't want to fight with crowds of people for the food. But, I'm traveling and if I'm lucky I'll be back here In a year to two at best, and Mojo pizza deserves to have a line out through to Oregon. First off Wood fired pizza is second only to coal fired pizza and those are hard AF to find bc of environmental regulations. So this is already starting at the threshold of the best cooking method available. The owners then give 5 million ducks about the quality bc this place is their baby. Recently opened and they want their quality to be top notch. This is the only really fresh and excellent food game for about 20... Possibly 50? Miles south of the Redwoods, but they're not relying on the location to bring their success, it's about the excellent quality pizza. You can see the skeletons of restaurants that tried to rely on location instead of quality in Orick. This place will have multiple locations within the year. Get in here now, love the amazing crust, the fresh ingredients, and the satisfaction of supporting a local small business while being better than any other pizza in 500 miles. Hell maybe all the way back to the east coast. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank me afterwards and...
Read moreWe were a group of out-of-towners fresh from exploring Prairie Creek, and stumbled upon MOJO Pizza almost by accident. As a lifelong foodie and self-proclaimed food snob from LA, I’m always chasing exceptional meals—but I didn’t expect to find one on the side of the road in a remote town near a national park. And yet, here we are.
This pizza is PHENOMENAL. Truly among the best I’ve ever had. Nancy Silverton herself would be floored by the craftsmanship. The crust strikes a rare balance—pillowy and doughy with just the right thin crunch. Every ingredient tastes fresh, vibrant, and thoughtfully chosen. Their menu is full of crave-worthy and classic combinations with wonderful ingredients and honestly, you can’t go wrong. But the white pizza was the best i’ve ever had, the ricotta was so milky and flavorful, and the thin zucchini was a total win.
We ordered three pizzas, and one came out incorrectly. When we let them know, they remade the correct one and let us keep the mistaken pie—no fuss, just kindness. That kind of hospitality is rare and deeply appreciated.
I’ll be recommending MOJO to anyone heading this way. If you’re considering a visit: RUN, don’t walk, to mojo! Sadly I didn’t get photos of our pizza. But just trust me, it’s worth being...
Read moreWe were visiting the area and had passed right through here not seeing the truck, but the visitor center told us it was there, so instead of going all the way south for food or to a close market, we headed back to the pizza truck, BEST choice !!!! The pizza was absolutely amazing, we ordered a pepperoni and a sausage one with peppers, it was easily one of the best pizzas I’ve had !!! Plus the guy making the pizza was super chill and friendly and funny, and now I’m addicted to hot honey on my pizza, an added drizzle I never knew I needed, but so damn good!! I defy think they need a few more picnic tables and some flags for the front, but this was one of the best choices we made to stop here, it was delicious pizza, and it was cool to see the wood fired pizza oven IN a food truck,...
