I paid my money for my ticket to see The Book Club it was a good movie. The front door wasn't that heavy to get into but I would expect a movie place as big as the CINEMA to have handicap doors. But who am I to judge I'm just a lady who walks using a walker. Next, I found where my movie was playing they have 7 places where you can watch a movie. I entered the movie place and the lights were still on because I got there early. I walked down a ramp to the bottom and was so disappointed. The only way to get up to the higher seats was to walk upstairs. Which I could not do because I use a walker. I absolutely hate sitting in the front row seats at a theater! But if I wanted to watch my movie then I had no other choice. So I sat at the end of the row of seats so my walker wouldn't trip anyone. The movie started or should I say the commercials started showing other movies that were going to be coming up next to the CINEMA. Finally, the movie started and even though I hated the seat where I was sitting I was able to enjoy the movie. When the movie was over I got up and tried to leave the room but people kept cutting me off, how rude some people can be! Finally, I just decided to let all the people leave the room before I decided to leave the room. THE CINEMA is not a handicap friendly place to go to if you are handicap! I can't recommend a place for handicap people to go to because this is the only CINEMA in McMinnville OR. Sure they had good popcorn and lots of candy to choose from which I must say was very expensive. I was very disappointed with my visit to this CINEMA! I gave it 3 star's because they had good...
Read moreWhen I went to see the Barbie premiere on July 20th around 7:00-8:00PM, for some reason only one employee could actually ring me up and then walked away for at least 5 minutes while I had my snacks in front of me and I was waiting to pay. This made me late for the movie and miss the beginning, which set a bad tone for me going into the movie. Then when I went to take my seat, a grown woman left her big bag in the middle of the aisle and caused me to trip over it and spill my food I waited 5-10 minutes (not an exaggeration) to get. I drove over an hour to come see the sold out movie, used the last of my money to go and see a nice movie, and was instead pushed into an autistic meltdown and have a breakdown in the bathroom. Then when I finally left, visibly upset and crying, one of the employees told me to have a nice day which just rubbed salt in the wounds. This whole experience ruined my day and, once again, sent me into an autistic meltdown when I was trying to do one nice thing for myself during...
Read moreFar past due for an upgrade; seating is archaic by today's standards and completely uncomfortable. Carpet is very worn and dirty. Frequently encounter overflowing garbage cans and unclean bathrooms. The system of selling tickets at concession now rather than the box office up front can take an excruciatingly long time...be prepared to arrive 45 minute before a popular film or you could miss the beginning while you're waiting in line. The staff seems genuinely friendly and do their jobs to the best of their ability given the circumstances but the place does seem chronically understaffed. I personally know of many people who leave town to go find better theater experiences in Portland or Salem, and I think this place could improve their business by investing in a bit of modernization. People would be willing to pay a little more for added comfort. But as it is right now, I'd rather just rent oniine and enjoy the comfort of my own sofa most...
