They put in the backup camera and the rearview mirror with a built-in screen for that camera when the dealership sold me the car. Then I moved states and the screen started acting up within a month and a big black spot appeared making it impossible to see the let side of the screen. On a trip back to Oregon I went to see the owner, Jason, who swore they were not the one who did the job and he never saw the car. I went to dealership and they called him to reconfirm that it was in fact him who did the job. I got a copy of the paperwork but they also faxed it to him. I returned to Jason who after some back and forth and a call confirmed that the part was under warranty and he is getting a replacement that he would put in my car for free. To make a long story short, despite 2 visits in person, e-mailing him and calling him as well, leaving him my cell number in person and leaving him a voicemail to get back to me, and despite Jason promising twice that he would get the issue handled, after 1 MONTH of bringing it up to his attention this is still not fixed He made no effort to answer my e-mail or voicemail, he did not text me either and he offered absolutely no communication or explanation to me at all throughout this time. In short THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK SO DO NOT TRUST THEIR WARRANTY AT ALL.

DISCLAIMER: THE BUSINESS HAS JUST RECENTLY CHANGED HANDS. THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNERS. AS TOLD TO ME BY THE "NEW OWNERS". FYI: IF THEY CAN'T INSTALL A SIMPLE STEREO AND BACK UP CAMERA HOW COULD YOU TRUST THEM FOR ANYTHING COMPLEX LIKE PREMIUM SOUND PACKAGES.

Sounds Unlimited of McMinnville put a Sony stereo and back up camera in my 2014 F250 XL, no Premium Sound package. I would think a quick stereo swap with one cable to run for the back up camera would be a quick easy upgrade to the truck. The appointment was made a week in advance for the truck to have the work done at 11 am. The day before, I was called because they had no information on my vehicle or what parts they were going to need. I spent over 30 minutes the previous week going over what was to be done, the fact my truck is a 2014 F250 XL no sound package (originally it only had an AM/FM Radio, Stock) and they failed to take any information to ensure that the parts were on hand.

Just because they put you in there calendar does not mean it will be worked on that day. The truck was dropped off at 10am and was not returned till 1230pm the NEXT DAY. Their reasoning was that it was okay to not finish that day, since I was okay with having to leave it there over night. I had no other choice than to be okay with it being there over night, since it couldn't be driven with the dash torn apart. Why make an appointment for a simple install if you aren't going to work on it?

The price after install was more than quoted, what I was amazed was that they charged almost two hours of shop time for the camera install. The funny thing is, that the camera install was so shoddy and unprofessionally installed that I had to fix it myself. The wires had been left stuffed up under the bed so after driving to where my trailer was, to hook it up to leave (I ended up camping an extra day because they couldn't keep a schedule) I found the camera wires dragging on the ground. After I zip stripped up the wires my buddy noticed that when I turned on the truck my back up lights stayed on full time. I then climbed under the truck to look at the wire run; It was not run on the inside of the frame, it is on the outside by the tire so it will be ruined after the first time I go four wheeling, the zip ties they used were not even trimmed. When I took it back to have the back up lights fixed they told me this was only the third camera they had ever installed. This is car stereo store, run by people who are learning as they go on other peoples vehicles. I basically paid a guy to learn how to install a camera and stereo, and then insulted me by telling me thanks for letting them learn on my truck, and being offended because they didn't do it right.

I will never go to this business again, and will tell all my friends to stay away, as many have decided after seeing the terrible install job done on my truck. Their business practices and customer service was horrible in my experience with the installer yelling at me to move my truck out of the way instead of fixing their mistakes so my back up lights worked correctly. I could write more concerning the front office man and his inability to see what lousy service they were giving to customers, and how a simple install, no bass, no woofer, no cross overs just a stereo should not take 26 hours.

I have enclosed two pictures, one of the wires that were left hanging down from the bed for my camera and the other is the wire as it runs forward. You can see that it was just left loose on the outside of the frame. They did clip the zip strips after I took it back to them and complained about how wrong it was to run the wire where they did and unprofessional not even to...

Jason was very polite. When I asked him to save me money in labor by just laying the cords above the carpet in my Honda Odyssey work van, he assured me that he wouldn’t go under the carpet but he also would not compromise on a neat job. Also I noticed the minor details that maybe nobody else would, like the fact that he ground off the paint at the ground point to make a better connection. The only issue I had it all was probably just miscommunication. I had asked him to place the Optima battery I had had in the front in the back for the add an extra battery job. He failed to do this, so I took care of it myself right there. Overall a fantastic experience and I will likely be back to have a remote start put in. Update: about a month after the above job was completed I had to switch vehicles. Got to work DIY, thinking I’d just need to swap. Turned out more complicated. When I called Jason he put me on track, still had trouble though. I drove in to see him unannounced. He stopped what he was working on and diagnosed my issue. Very cool! Even gave me the part I...
