Love the staff but the new owners....eh! It's been twice now that I've wasted my time and gas coming here from Cleveland to fish and the bait shop was closed well before the usual time. The first time I looked online and it clearly stated 9:30pm, I pulled in at 7:45pm and no one was there. After that it seemed to be consistent enough until tonight, again I came home no crappie or bluegill in hand due to the early closing of Causeway Bait Shop. Furthermore, I love the beefsticks they sell inside the case...it's one of my favorite snacks to eat while fishing. Well I stopped getting them once I found dead flies inside the case. Haven't had a beefstick since. I've been going there for over thirty years and it's never been this inconsistent. It's such an incovenience to loyal, longtime customers. Read moreIt was such a great shop. The only place on the lake where you get to the ramp, there was some youngsters to assist you. I rented boats and motors there back to the 70's. A few years ago, Linda sold the shop. She was there as long as I remember. She retired. The new owner took out the docks, fired the boys that helped with not only launching, but they also set up and the rental boats. Now, the place sucks! No ramp, no more boat rentals, prices went up for tackle, and they count minnows. I'll never go there again. It's owned by the same type of peaple that also run all the low priced motels...

He repeated himself she told him and then continued to have an attitude about the purchase. He ended up putting back the worms but terrible rude employee. Place was not busy.
