Mecca Cones & Coneys — Restaurant in Mecca Township

Update: very odd business practices. The owner, whom commented below, sought me out on social media, private messaged me and had looked up other personal information (my children's school district) in the meantime. Went on to thank me for not disclosing the business name on local social media page when expressing my feelings around an experience there and proceeded to comment on my post with the business page. In addition , the referenced porta pots across the street are at another business (not theirs) and temporary while that business remodels the inside and for that specific business and their patrons, not public use. Not professional.

We have gone to this place for approximately 6 years and loved it. My wife and I would cruise up and even take out of towners with us very frequently. The place is clean, well taken care of and good ice cream and food.

Unfortunately since having children that changed. They no longer have a portapot and refuse to let our young child use a restroom. It really stinks. There is not a restroom near by and this isn't exactly close much. having a family oriented place such as an ice cream shop that is cute and taken care of I really wish they would have something in place for a customer restroom.

We have decided that given we have 3 children under 4 we can no longer continue to support...

Went in to order food 8:15 kitchen closed. Ask when it closed she said normally 8:30.. I said well I probably won't ever plan to get food here again since u don't know if the kitchen will be open. Young blonde girl says yea we don't cater to anyone, I said obviously. Got our ice cream my flurry with double topping looked like she put 3 m&ms in it and one Reese cup. Asked for more toppings and they said no and I threw the ice cream away (if I wanted vanilla I would of ordered it). Earlier this week ordered the same flurry blonde girl made it that day too and it was loaded. Teach the young blonde some customer service skills as you have lost my family as a customer for good. While going to the Mosquito Lake causeway i seen this place and stopped. GLAD I DID this place is such a gem... like it's literally the best ice cream ever, EVEN better then Dairy Queen.. Service was great, the lady in there was so kind and helpful in what I wanted to get, I got the Mecca Mud which is chocolate with caramel and brownie pieces - 100/10 It was so good 🤤🤤🔥🔥😋😋 All in all for sure was 100/10 I FOR SURE WILL be back to try more of their menu Also by the way I have pictures below of the entire menu...
