Lakes Harvest Foods — Local services in Medical Lake

I've been shop here since moving here from Tacoma, back in 09/2018. It may be a small town, mom n pop style grocery store, but frankly as far as I'm concerned that is one of its best attributes. The staff are always friendly, accommodating, and never, not once, have I ever been treated in any negative manner. The folks that work here, both young, older, seasoned or new to the job, they all have the same qualitiesof treating others as they would like to be treated; "the basic golden rule" I feel for them many times because I can sense and see it in their faces, the stress and negativity they are forced to hide and push down deep, smile and treat every customer with the same outstanding customer service and cheerfulness. PeopleREALLY NEED TO THINK:

1. Never judge another person, especially one you don't know on a personal level, 'til you've walked a mile or so in their shoes. Everyone is different and and has their own history, experiences, traumas, etc that has worked together to formulate t4hat person's world view. We really just have no clue... perhaps the few hours that person is at work school may be the only peace and safe place hey may know in any given 24 hour period. Do think of that the next time you may feel you're getting less than perfect service... because trust me, I'm willing to bet the service is never as bad as most folks make it out to be.. Anyway, keep up the outstanding work Harvest Good...

Decent store friendly staff other than one dude that works there who is kinda douchey, just not friendly really but other than that all of the other employees seem nice and are generally helpful. Just watch scanning stuff on sale they don't exactly have the most up to date inventory system so more often than not it won't ring up for the sale price and if it has no special stickers on it then the cashier won't know it's on sale either. Also I noticed there are more things than I would like that are right at the expiration date (within a day or two) things like, wheat thins crackers, cereal, lunch meat, and Dave's bread which isn't cheap but I suppose i should check on a lot of that stuff anyway but lesson learned. Other than that decent store with mostly cool people kinda have to like it as there is no other...

*Edit: It is illegal for a business to charge a bag fee for customers using a state issued EBT card. This store is literally scamming people.

Super overpriced for not so great groceries. They charge up to two to three times as much as anywhere else for normal items. Every time I go to this store there are old meats for sale and the produce is either old or super under ripe. Sale items often don't ring up the right price, and this store has an awful habit of trying to sell literal trash as "clearance". I get it's small town convenience but at these prices it's more convenient to make the 15 min drive to Airway or Cheney and get better groceries for less.
