I went into this boutique to possibly find my wedding dress. To even make an appt to look at dresses you had to put down a $50 deposit that you get back as long as you show up. We arrived on time to the appt and were taken back about 30 minutes late. They did apologize and my group was understanding that stuff happens. We started trying on dresses and I thought I found "the one". So we went up front to order the dress. It was clearly closing time and we had not even been there that long. Most of the lights were off, the music was off and there was only us and the two girls working there. We ordered the dress and I had to put down a deposit of half of the total. I had showed the dress to family and friends and just decided I was not truly in love with it and it just wasn't right for me. So two days later I called the store to cancel the order. I was told that the money was not refundable and the order could not be cancelled because I was in a contract with the dress and the dress is in contract with the designer. So I called and spoke to the owner and I she went in circles about the store policy and dress designer policy and said the money was non refundable. We ended the conversation with her saying she would look into contacting the designer and seeing if she could cancel the order and she would get back to me in the next day or so. In the mean time I took it upon myself to email the dress designer to find out that the order can be cancelled if she were to call them and they do not dictate the stores policy in any way. I also found out that the Fair Credit Billing Act ensures that there are laws in place to protect credit card customers. There is a Buyer’s Remorse Cooling-Off Rule that basically says I can get a refund regardless of store policy within three business days. I was with in this time frame. I waited for a phone call from the owner and finally received an email. The email stated that she no longer wanted me as a client and I disrespected her and her business. She will refund some of my deposit and cancel my order. She is keeping $125 for a commission she already paid out. I am not happy with the way this situation was handled at all. From the start it could have been very easy to resolve if she would have just called the designer, cancelled the order and refunded my deposit. Instead she was very difficult and tried to keep some of my hard earned money for no reason. I did not receive a product, the order was cancelled (if it was ever even placed by the time I called), and she lost nothing. I get that business needs to make money, but I think there's something to be said for having good customer service and caring about your customers. I've never had a bad customer service experience like this and I've never had anyone try to keep my money for no reason when I received nothing in return. Makes me sad that this wasn't...
Read moreI do not have the words to describe my amazing and perfect wedding dress shopping experience I had with Meg at The Dress, but I’m still going to try. From start to finish, Meg helped make the whole experience a dream come true. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I could tell that she had actually looked at my wishlist and Pinterest board I had shared as we all laughed about the same dress I had pinned and favorited multiples times. She was the best hype girl and she asked me questions about my personal life outside of being a bride that made me feel like she really wanted to get a sense of who I am! Highly recommend her as a stylist! I had originally planned to visit two bridal shops in one day as I had my future mother in law fly in from out of state for a weekend visit so she could be part of my dress shopping. My morning appointment was at The Dress. Let me just say, I never made it to that other appointment because I found my dress easily during my morning try on session. I had a gut feeling even before my appointments that I’d find my dress at The Dress. How did I know? It started months before when I followed them on social media after getting engaged and how they interacted on these platforms with potential brides and past clients. They reached out by text when I made my appointment months before it even took place. My stylist, Meg reached out personally a week or so before my appointment to see if I had any questions and to ask for additional information and inspiration pics of my dress vision. That was the difference maker for me. The personalized attention sold me. I am so thankful and grateful for the time and effort that Meg and the staff devoted to me to find my dream dress! I added a few pics of dresses that I did not pick as my dress but that were beyond gorgeous. I would’ve happily walked down the aisle in...
Read moreThe Dress was BY FAR my favorite place that I shopped while searching for my wedding dress! Right when I walked in for my appointment, there was a welcome sign with my name on it! This gave me a great feeling from the start that these consultants go above and beyond. We also went during their "GALentines" weekend celebration, so to my surprise this meant even more thoughtful goodies! I received a text, days in advance, asking what themed mocktail I would like for myself and my guests during my appointment. There were also handmade, gorgeous sugar cookies and chocolate treats laid out in the room. This was such a cute (and delicious) touch. The boutique is stunning, and they have so many beautiful gowns on display. The bridal suites are so private, and I loved that everyone could stay in the room and be comfortable while I got into the gowns behind a spacious curtained area. My consultant, Meghan, was wonderful (absolutely my favorite). She made me feel so comfortable, and she quickly picked up on my style and vision and knew what dresses I would want to try. Lastly, the bridal suite had a HUGE picture window in it that let in so much natural light, which is something that is so hard to find in most bridal boutiques and makes such a big difference in the appearance of a dress! Unfortunately, I did end up falling for a dress that I found somewhere else, but I still can't stop raving about my experience at The Dress. If they sold my dress there, I would have gone back there to get it, seriously. The Dress will still be the number one place that I recommend to friends and family! Thank you guys again, so much for helping me on my wedding journey and for making my appointment...
