From Lydia: Dance Mania is an incredible organization. Sometimes in life, you don’t know when you happen to come upon things and what kind of impact they will have in your lives. My daughter was seven and about to quit dance, frustrated by being unable to get to where she wanted to be when we happened upon Dance Mania and it has been a blessing in her life. She started out as a prep dancer 10 years ago and now has become a world champion multiple times. We are truly thankful and blessed by all these accomplishments, but what is incredible is what comes along with this. She has developed into a wonderful young lady and has experienced so much and been able to have so many opportunities she never would’ve had if we hadn’t come to Dance Mania. From the studio owner Dana Parsons to her incredible staff it truly is a big family. You’re welcomed into the family and feel a part of something bigger than yourself. It is so much more than just dance as you see your daughter becoming a valued part of a team, building her character, and growing with such great role models showing how when you work together for a common goal, you can accomplish great things. It’s a place for everyone no matter what skill level you have, they will find a great place for you and help you achieve your best and make lifelong friendships. It also is the environment of creating a champion mindset, and all the hard work that it takes to get there, all the planning and the details that make the difference. Truly more than just dance but teaching life lessons: dedication, persistence, poise, resilience, and living by standards. I highly recommend the entire organization. It is truly...
Read moreEvery time I dropped my daughter off this was a nerve wrecking experience. The lobby is extremely crowded, anyone can walk out with your child if they wanted. The woman who is usually there after 4 has an "I could care less attitude". I asked her if my daughter could sit with her until her class started (because of all the chaos in the lobby) and she simply brushed me off to one of the chairs like I hadn't seen them there in the first place.
My daughter cried after every class except the hip hop class. I only recommend the Hip Hop Class because the teacher has a positive attitude and she motivates the girls.
The leg stretch class was the WORST. The teacher acted like she did not want to be there, was impatient, rude, and very discouraging. There were only 2 girls in her class (my child and another).
My first class should've been FREE but I was charged for it as if that was normal.
My daughter was bullied by 3 other girls and there was NOTHING done about it. In fact, when I walked in the woman who could care less, did not say or do a thing in response to my complaint.
I live across the street from this studio and I still refuse to take my child back. I will NOT be giving them anymore of my money and patronage. Extremely disappointed, if you want a comfortable environment for your girls to learn this IS NOT IT! A waste of 2 weeks worth of time and money that left my child with bruised confidence because of their carelessness.
If I could give you ZERO stars I would Signed Myah Favors' Mother (And I bet you all still would not know who we are, just...
Read moreOur daughter has been at Dance Mania All-Stars (DMA) for 7 years and has learned many lessons in the pursuit of excellence on-and-off the dance floor. DMA is not only focused on creating world and nationally recognized competitive dance teams, they are also focused on creating good citizens, keeping academics at high levels, and forming bonds with teammates. The coaches have high standards and expect the best of their dancers. They are knowledgeable teachers and the dancers respect them and learn valuable life lessons from them. It has a wide variety of teams for any level, ranging from fun performance level dance to serious world competitive dance. It’s a great studio for those wishing to have a healthy dance hobby and form close relationships with their fellow dancers. Plus it is the place to be if you want to be on the cutting edge of competitive dance. We definitely feel part of the DMA family and feel blessed to have this studio here in our home town...
