My husband took his Pontiac Trans Am to Mason's because we heard they were good with older pontiac cars. After Mr.Mason checked it out he said we needed to change motor because the bottem end was out in ours. My husband found a motor online it was used , but it came with a 90 day warranty. When the motor arrived Mr Mason did not check it out , he said he had others customers cars he was working on. When Mason finally started working on motor he replaced oil pump along with other new parts he said the motor was fine. Several weeks later Mason calls and tells my husband the motor is no good and the bottem end is out of this motor as well, by this time the 90 day warranty was no good too much time had passes. So my husband is back to square one another bad motor, so 2000. Grand plus the 3000. Grand we paid Mason for labor. Had Mr Mason checked the motor out when it arrived like he said he did we could have got a differnt motor or money back, but because the 90 days had passed warranty was no good. So me and my husband decided to have car towed home again. Mr.Mason is a crook dont trust him he is deffently all about taking peoples money and overcharging people. Mr. Mason wanted to rebuild the motor and charge 20,000. My husband couldnt afford to do that because he had accident at work and is off on work comp.this is why my husband went with a used motor. Mr Mason would have made more money rebuilding the motor then just installing a used one. He seen we had a classic car and figured we had a lot of money . I wish i would have looked at reviews b4 my husband took...
Read moreMy wife broke down near this town and I had her vehicle towed to this shop because of the reviews. Long story short: it took almost two weeks for them to even look at it - at which time our estimate of repair was $1400. I told them to proceed with the repairs and then when my insurance company got involved, two more weeks passed and I heard from my insurance company that the repairs were now going to cost $5200. A couple more days went by and I called to see if the repairs were done at which time I was told that they wanted payment up-front BEFORE THEY WOULD START ON THE REPAIRS! I ended up not having the repairs done because I am not going to pay anyone for work up-front and then wonder if it would...
