This is by concerning the work not customer service I went there in Jan to get my rim repaired on my CLS 5550 went back to Wheel ššš in Jun Brittany explained I must have hit something hard or Firestone and Gateway put to much pressure in my tire within 2 days and messed it up. I donāt believe neither of the 2 messed up my tire she aligned Mercedes rims are not fit for Memphis streets, so I opted to get an entire new rim set. I chose multiple rims Brittany would call the company to find the tire was discontinued or didāt work so I left with a quote. I finally found one after a stressful hunt online called Brittany to place the order over the phone I asked if I needed to put down a deposit she said no the owner was out of town come back in tomorrow. I told her she told me before I left all I had to do was call and put the deposit down so went ahead and placed the order. 3 hours later Brittany called and said they donāt have my color option at this time itās an ETA of 60 days I asked her to check 20inch staggered since we were having so many issues with 19inches staggered. She didnāt call back I called her and told her just go with the color they had in stock. That morning Firestone told me I would have to pay for the thread life of the tire thatās under warranty and should have been covered. I refused to purchase a tire that has to be special ordered so I called Brittany ASAP and told her to change me to 20inch staggered wheels I will purchase 4 new tires and rims from her quoted $3400. Brittany tells me I will have to pay shipping for changing my mind on the last tire as if it was my fault they didnāt have my color, size, etc. I told her give me a minute and let me figure out what I wanted to do. She called my phone right back and left and unprofessional and ignorant voicemail explains that I was in debt with the company, call another rim company and get my rims because they will not be working on my car. I called her back and immediately let her know that was very unprofessional and never call a paying customer who asked you to give them a second and tell them what you will not do but ask them to pay a shipping fee. I am a full price paying customer, not my problem you didnāt take my deposit, and you never tell a customer go to another rim place and get your rims done there. Needless to say I told her thanks for giving me another company to go I will take my money elsewhere. Horrible customer service she seemed bus and overwhelmed however that is no excuse when you are the face of someone...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give 6 stars I would. Troy and Brittny were great. They straightened two of my rims, perfect, quickly, for a fair price. They provide a computer read out of run outs. Mine came in well under factory limits, drives smooth.
I thought at first I bent one front rim. I bought a replacement rim outright on-line, BEFORE I knew about Wheel Tek, in Memphis. The rim I bought looked like it took major repair to straighten, maybe even welded. I mounted that rim on front. Then found back rim was also slightly bent. That's when I went to Wheel Tek. Brittny at front is a delight. Troy is great, helpful, gives you confidence that your Rim is going to be handled properly. I was impressed.
I ended up having Wheel Tek straighten both of my original rims and using them instead of the one I brought, which I returned. When you buy a rim, you don't know what you're getting. I hoped to get a used rim that had never been bent. However most of the rims that are sold online are "reconditioned".
When I took off the purchase rim and put back on the rim straightened by Wheel Tek it was smoother than the purchase trim. There was virtually no vibrations. The purchase rim, although it was within limits, had a slight vibration when compared to the one Wheel Tek straightened. Now I know exactly what I have, my rims weren't bent that badly.
When you buy a rim outright, you don't know what it looked like before they straightened it. Also it's cheaper to have Wheel Tek do the work for you, versus buying a rim outright and having tires mounted. You have still pay tire store to dismount and mount it which is about $30. Wheel Tek total for each of my rims if I drove car in, would be about $150 (16" rims). If you bring the rim and tire to them off car, it's less. If you bring them just the rim, it's less still $110+tax, which is what I did. Your price may vary based on rim size, if it needs painting and so on. Go to Wheel Tek, you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me start this off by saying Vinnie and Tony are two of the most stand up and honest guys I have ever met when it comes to customer service and customer experience for vehicles. From the time I walked in until I left I felt so comfortable and at ease with them working on my car.
I have a 2022 Honda According Hybrid Touring and I was coming in to visit because on a road trip while in Gatlinburg, my wheel was cracked when I thought I needed a tire replaced and the tire store notified me. Fast forward to this past weekend, when I took it to the dealership they told me they wanted $1200 for the rim to be replaced and $450 for labor costs for $1700. Idk about you all but I don't have that kind of money lying around just to give. My dad recommended I go to Wheel-Tek and I am so grateful he did. Once I walked in Vinnie greeted me and was very in tune and attentive to the issue I was having. He told me it would be no problem to get fixed. He and Tony even went so far as to bring me out to show me what the crack and bend looked like in my rim and told me step by step what they would do and walked me through the process for my full understanding. They got me in and out in under an hour and a half and I only paid a fraction of what my dealership wanted me to pay them.
Hands down if I know anybody who has any wheel or rim issues, I will for sure only send them here to Wheel Tek. I can't thank Vinnie and Tony enough for the excellent service they provided and getting my car back on the road with no tire and wheel issues! 20/10 score...
