I floated yesterday with a total group of 8. Without a doubt, the smoothest and most organized float trip I've ever been on. We were in the 10:30 time slot. We arrived at 10:00, as requested. We checked in, signed the waivers, and organized our coolers. Next, the owner announced we would be following the bus in our personal vehicles to a secondary parking lot right where the float ends. We left at 10:30 exactly. We followed, parked and then boarded the bus for a less than 10 minute ride to the put in. Bus driver was kind and very informative as to what we were doing. Once at Allenton Access, we unloaded our coolers from the bus and our two 6 person rafts were already on the ramp waiting for us. Both rafts were in good condition. We were in the water within 5 minutes of arrival. (The fastest I've ever loaded up on a float) After that, it was smooth sailing. The float itself was exactly 3.5 miles. The river was running quick, and our bus driver informed everyone of that fact. My group floated for close to 2 miles before stopping on the beach for roughly 4 hours. Overall, the 3.5 miles took us 7 hours because we stopped for a while. There were some great beaches to stop at especially towards the end of the route. We arrived at the exit at 5:30. The sign was easy to see and would be hard to miss. Here's the best part of the entire float... Once we exited the river, we cleaned our trash, grabbed our coolers and walked right to our vehicles. There was no secondary bus ride back to our cars. Very convenient and well thought through. As I said, by far the smoothest float I've been on. I'll definitely be returning in the future.

We had a great afternoon. It was a Tuesday so it wasn't very crowded. To note for those that aren't athletic or strong swimmers... the guys helping you put your raft in... they don't. Lol. We had tubes and had no issue, but watched others struggle (and helped people into the river) . Getting out... we got out and mentioned to the guys there that the people behind us would need help... they stated they couldn't help in the case someone drowned.. at that moment the child in the raft fell out without a PFD and the other child was in the water. Their raft was being pulled by the strong current right before the ramp. My friend and I jumped in to help this family. It would have been helpful for the guys at the ramp to let everyone know how to get out better... prepare sooner for this surprisingly strong current right after a sandbar. Just a weird exit. My friend and I are capable, strong athletes and we took life jackets. Not many on the bus did. It was concerning. Take the jacket and clip it to the handles... just in case.

We used Twin Rivers rentals for a float trip for a group of 3 this past weekend - overall, I would say it was a great experience. Usually we pick a spot further out of the city (Bass River or Blue Springs), but picked this spot because it was only 30 minutes away and we didn't want a full day event. It certainly doesn't have the bells and whistles of the other locations, if you want camping, a convenience store, and showers after - this isn't your place. They're prices are also quite a bit higher than other locations for a 6-man raft ($20-40 more), just an observation.

If you're looking to spend a day / half day out on the river, then this place is great! Plenty of sandbars to stop off at, plus a rope swing as you approach the bridge. The river is beautiful throughout the trip and it wasn't crowded at all for us. When we showed up, they had a table for us to checkin and quickly got us loaded into the bus/shuttles to get on the river. Make sure you are at least 10 minutes earlier than your "on the river" time or you will miss the bus (which the tell you in the reservation). Lastly, you land back at your car, which was fantastic!

I will say there seemed to be a lot more people on boats then I'm used to at the other locations and they are moving fast. Nothing to do with Twin Rivers themselves, but something to be mindful of when...

My husband & I visited this past Sunday on my birthday to celebrate & have a relaxing day. We have went tubing the last 2 summers in other cities, Asheville NC & Nashville TN & this was by far the worst experience we've had. The tubes were literally the most uncomfortable river tubes ever, they are tiny & there is no way to actually lay back & get comfortable in them. My husband is 6'6" & we had to stop multiple times for him to stand up & readjust bc he was so uncomfortable & finally he moved all the stuff & finished the float in the cooler raft that we rented & was much more comfortable. I spent the whole float uncomfortable & simply ready for it to just be over. We passed multiple people along the way who also complained about how terrible the rafts were & how uncomfortable they were. We've also been given paddles in the past incase we got hung up on something or needed to move to a different area of the river & we were not offered those here & it was pretty inconvenient. Wishing I would have picked another way to spend my birthday. Please invest in bigger tubes & you'll have...
