It actually sucks to write this because I never write bad reviews but holay molay.
I brought my PC in because it was getting weird BSOD errors and I couldn’t fix it myself. The tech said at most 24 hrs, ok whatever I told him I need it for work but I could be without it for a bit. He said it seems like it’s the motherboard, let me order one for you.
Saturday comes and they call me and say they are going to do a clean install and call me back. They never called me back and they are closed on Sundays. That kinda sucked because at least call me and say “hey its not done yet.”
So Monday comes around. Clean install failed. I said did you put the motherboard in. No they had not. They said they were going to try a new drive. That also did not work.
Tuesday they basically say there’s nothing more we can do the whole thing is fried the motherboard has bent pins under the CPU and the CPU fried over time. I told them well you guys are the last ones who touched that CPU and the tech said he would speak to his boss and call me back. When he called back he said oh well my boss said that had to have had happened prior.
So I have to mention that the person who put that motherboard in literally makes PCs for celebrity clients and that CPU worked wonderfully for a year prior and then worked in my PC.
Also I had to call these guys literally every-time I wanted an update. And I could understand if it was a small thing but they quoted me 24 hrs and it was now Tues.
Anyway they said -‘nothin more we can do youll have to either put the old parts in or buy new parts.
So, we bought 1200 dollars worth of parts out of our own pocket brought them to computer central Only to recieve a call hours later saying oh actually you need a new psu and we dont have the cables. So we DRIVE back to best buy buy another psu and bring it to them to put in. They told us 15 min.
SPOILER ALERT it was not 15 minutes it was like 1hr 30 min (again it took them about 30 mins to even tell us that) after all is said and done they still ended up charging us for tech labor after having the computer for 6 days and US having to put like 1400 dollars into this PC.
Anyway I get home and find i also have to buy a new windows key (150 bucks) otherwise I can’t make any changes to the PC’s settings. So all in all about $1300 was spent.
I was a computer technician for 5 years and I get stuff happens but like if someone is nice and patient I try to at least throw them SOMETHING and not charging us anything it would have been good.
Anyway, if you need high level stuff done not sure this is the place. And if youre the boss of the establishment maybe take charge and dont speak through...
Read moreVery Poor Customer Service. We have dealt with them on several occasions and yesterday is our last. We always give second and third chances for someone or business to redeem themselves, but they have failed every time. The most recent, yesterday, was a business computer they had had for over two weeks with no contact. We called and found that they had not started any diagnostics, but would today. We said 'no, we are on our way to pick it up as is'. It was under warranty as it was purchased elsewhere and we took it for repair in error, unfortunately we did not realize this until yesterday. In the less than 30 min it took from the phone call to drive to their location they did diagnostics, even though we said not to do anything, and whipped the drive clean of all licensed programs...the technician argued that he was almost done and if we provided the programs he would re-install them. We asked why he continued when told not to start, again, he argued that he was almost done. It took 5 requests to please retrieve the PC and not do any additional work to it. Finally, it was returned with a $95 bill for services we requested not be started. The technician then asked if he could put in the business information for their warranty, we declined, he again argued that they could cover the work completed. Why it took a phone call that we were picking up the computer for them to start on it is confusing. Additional, when instructed by the owner of the PC to not start, they went ahead and worked on it...seems they only want to do things they choose for a fee with no consideration of what the paying customer actually requests. Be prepared to get service on their personal internal timing and your input and requests mean nothing to them even though you are the owner of the equipment. We, personal or business, will never go there for...
Read moreI am so happy that I took my PlayStation (PS4), to this place to be fixed. It stopped ejecting the disc and also wouldn't read an inserted disc.
I tried fixing it myself (oops - don't do that), and quickly realized I was in over my head. Michael was the one to look at my system. He did an AMAZING job. He worked on it until it was as good as new. He kept me completely informed throughout the whole process. And the price was completely reasonable. Michael must have spent a good deal of time working to make sure the system was fixed properly.
I am so thankful for him going above and beyond. Thank you!!! My poor, deprived children were going to have to go without the PlayStation ALL SUMMER. Which means my house would have been destroyed out of bored. You saved me a great deal of money AND cleaning.
Kids are playing Minecraft as I write.
Update to comment on any negative reviews. I think people don't realize how time consuming some of these fixed can be. Even if it's a small capacitor or resistor on a board, these guys/gals have to find them first. And it's not realistic to think they can simply plug it into a program to tell them exactly what to fix. There are hundreds, thousands of different schematics for all the different products they are capable of fixing. There's really a LOT to it. If you can fix your own faulty ribbon cable, cool. But if it doesn't work after you do that, definitely take it to these guys. And don't be afraid to ask questions. Michael was MORE than willing to go over exactly what he was doing. And asked questions about what exactly was wrong. I realize being without a phone or other common device is difficult because we're so used to using them. But having them rush the job isn't a good idea if you want the device...
