Old Fashioned Fruit and Veg — Local services in Meridian

I just came into this fruit and vegetable stand at 6:45 on Tuesday, 26 September 2023. I noticed the cabinets were already locked for the evening where are the sauces and canned goods are located and sold. I approached a young gentleman and asked what time they locked up cabinets and he told me 630. He never offered to open them up really quickly to allow me to purchase a few jars of salsa. I know I could’ve asked, but he didn’t even take the time to offer this service, there were a few other people at the cash, register working, but no one offered to get the key and unlock the door so I could buy a couple of jars of salsa, even though there was 15 minutes left Until the store closed. I understand this is a small business. But I also am a local business owner, and if I treated patrons like that, in my line of work, I would go out of business. I think it would be appropriate To ask the customer next time “oh sir, would you need anything from these cabinets? I can quickly get a key and unlock them for you.” I find this to be very lazy and unfortunately, that seems to be the future of people these days, very lazy and poor work ethic. I certainly hope the manager or owner of the store sees this review and reaches out to their employees to fix...

Lots of nice fruit here and many of it is local. The donut peaches are small but they are unlike any other peach you've ever had and they are very juicy. Another thing they had when I was there was these nice local snake River seedless watermelons and those were also very tasty. They also have some highlander beef if you looking to have a steak night and it has less cholesterol than chicken and more protein than normal beef. The prices were very affordable and all the staff were very nice and I did not see a bathroom but a gas station is right next to them so if you need to you can go there. Overall I think this may have been the best fruit market I've been to so far here in idaho but remember with the season the food is always changing and they may not have the same foods I mentioned in this review. Five stars...
