YMCA at Merrimack does not adhere to its Saturday posted hours. On numerous Saturdays the person who is supposed to open is either late or does not show up at all leaving numerous people milling around like cattle. On the most recent occasion 10/18/14 by 6:15 nobody had come to open, then a female arrived and announced that she was there to replace the person who was supposed to open but was not given a key. the height of incompetentcy. I have spoken to Danielle Goerlich from member services in the past but to no avail. I have had a family membership since the Merrimack YMCA opened but it is apparent that management does not care about the people who have limited time on Saturday to exercise for health reasons
Incompetence rears its ugly head again. Today, January 31st, 2015 the YMCA was suppose to open up at 6am. I called down the Nashua YMCA at 6:05 to let them know that nobody opened the Merrimack YMCA as posted at 6:00 am. I waited out there until 6:30 am and still nobody showed up. The swim team was out there ready to practice along with other members that have family memberships at $800/year and could not use the facility. Some of us only have limited time on Saturday morning to exercise before going to work and cannot utilize the facility. It is clear that the YMCA does not care about its members or is that incompetent that it cannot have somebody open the doors on time. This has happened on many Saturday mornings. And each time it does in the future, I will be posting to let everyone know of its...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wish I would have read these 2 reviews first, if anything they are polite. If you like racquetball forget this place. they have changed over all but three courts to other things. Getting any time in the evening or at any usable hour is impossible. there is a fourth court that can be used at times, maybe. I was told it was available then another employee comes and throws me out acting like I was invading her space, when her colleagues said it was mine. She apparently had it signed out but no one else knew and I was the bad guy. Just one example of things that happened repeatedly. People are supposed to be around to help plan with routines, never saw them. Was promised they would be there at a particular desk but desk always empty. Their schedule of activities is a mystery to even them. " Well that's run by an outside group you need to ask them how it works, but you're free to join." IF YOU POST IT ON YOUR SCHEDULE YOU SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST SOME INFORMATION ABOUT HOW IT WORKS! Not just show "Show up and talk to them" Completely disorganized but will smile and take your money. And if you try to stop using their service? HaH!!! Their "POLICY" is to charge you until they cant charge you anymore and then threaten you. You better show up with your attorney to get out of this.
There should be negative stars on here...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI constantly face the same issue with this facility. They close the pool area if there is any lightning or thunder and do not reopen it on the same day. According to the rule stated on their website, 'When thunder or lightning is first noticed, pool activities will be suspended and all aquatic areas will be evacuated until 30 minutes after the last sign of thunder or lightning.' It clearly states 30 minutes! However, it has been 2 hours since the storm passed and the skies are clear. To confirm the situation, I called the facility at 7 PM, knowing their usual excuses. The person on the phone informed me that it would remain closed for tonight. When I mentioned the rule of waiting for 30 minutes and the 2-hour gap since the last thunder, she became rude. When I asked for her name, she simply hung up. I called Nashua branch and they are open... What terrible customer service and disrespect to their...
