Subject: Poor Service and Long Wait at Customer Service Desk
Dear Kroger Customer Service,
I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment regarding my recent experience at your storeâs customer service desk. On 5/5/2025 I waited over 29 minutes in a long line, along with several other customers, with no employee present at the desk.
It was especially frustrating considering it was the first of the monthâa time when many customers, including myself, rely on your services to pay bills and handle other essential transactions. Several people ended up leaving the line and walking out, upset by the lack of assistance and organization.
When a clerk finally did arrive, she did not acknowledge or greet the waiting customers, showing a complete lack of courtesy or professionalism. This lack of basic customer service is unacceptable, especially in a store as reputable as Kroger.
I hope this matter will be addressed promptly, and that in the future, the customer service desk will be adequately staffedâparticularly during high-traffic timesâand that staff will be trained to treat customers with respect and urgency. A few weeks ago I was shopping with my son and stumbled across multiple boxes of cake mix that had expired â I gathered them up, had the service desk call the manager, turned them all over to him and went back to my shopping. A few minutes later my son saw the EXACT SAME manager putting the EXACT SAME boxes right back on the shelf!!!!! Then, last week I sent my husband in there to pick up peanut butter I needed for baking. I ended up not needing it for the cake I was making, but used it to make a sandwich for lunch. One bite and I knew something was wrongâ I tossed out my lunch and looked at the jar only to discover that the jar of peanut butter my husband purchased at this store 4 days earlier had EXPIRED OVER A YEAR AGO!!!! How was that allowed to even be in the store, much less on the shelf???!!! I would rather spend the time and energy driving to another, more reliable store than risk unknowingly poisoning my family with products from this one. If I could give 0 or negative...
   Read moreabsolutle WORST kroger i have ever been in ....walked in ...the store was practically empty the manager was standing in the front near the registers i asked where a specific cleaning product was he mumbled the isle # / answer which was WRONG ....so i find another employee in passing asked her the same question ...she pointed me in the right direction and then passed me twice looking directly at me as i was trying to get her attention to ask another question ...if it had been busy i wouldnt be writing this an be nearly as critical but it was dead ...there was 1 cashier working an the store was empty ...the manager was uninterested in helping an the clerk i asked acted as if i was being a burden....glad i dont live in that neighborhood an have to go to that store often ....i go to kroger in Forney several times a week and they are wonderful...its a MUCH larger more modern store an the employees are helpful an the mangers are friendly ...the polar opposite of the store i...
