I had bought a washer and dryer from The LaPorte store and I won’t lie, we had some issues. I had paid for delivery and the day that my items were to be delivered they didn’t show up nor did they call which upset me a little since I took off work to be home. I called the next day to the LaPorte store and he said my washer was damaged which is why they didn’t come (still should’ve called but that’s beside the point) he then stated he would set up for me to get my dryer I purchased and a washer I could use til a new one came in. 3.5 hours later still no info on when this would happen nor did he seem too concerned, so I decided to call the Michigan City store and they did not skip a beat! They scheduled right when I called for someone to deliver something to my house. After the items were delivered I threw a load of clothes in the washer then in the dryer and the dryer was not drying the clothes and it also appeared to be a used dryer (supposed to be new) I had called MC and talked to the manager John and once again, they didn’t hesitate to make it right. They scheduled for someone to come out the next day to give me a brand new set better than the one I purchased and it’s been working beautifully. Long story short, save yourself the trouble and go to MC! The staff is amazing. Also to the delivery guys Travis and Ryan, I appreciate you having such a positive attitude about having to carry the machines up and down the stairs multiple times! I have been a loyal Tylisz customer, as were my parents. Recently bought a new washer and dryer. Waited two weeks for delivery. Delivery guys were very nice and were careful. When using the dryer for the first time, it continued to shut off without drying my clothes. It gave me an error message that there was a blockage in the air flow.
Early the following morning, I called to tell them the dryer was not working. Requested a service person to return immediately to diagnose the problem as I had paid cash up front and had been without these appliances for 2 weeks. I was met with rudeness, defensive behavior and over talked by both the woman who answered the phone and the man who was yelling across the room from his desk. They accused me of being wrong and unreasonable and then HUNG UP ON ME!
I immediately called back. The man answered, again with rudeness. I had no alternative but to demand the appliances be returned and my money refunded. Shortly, another employee called and calmingly offered his apology. After dealing with the unacceptable behavior of the “up front” customer service people, I could not change my mind and I am returning the appliance for a full refund. They said “go to Tylisz you’ll be glad you did” So I did! I found this beautiful used fridge that was in my budget and it came with a 90 day warranty. I was so happy until the freezer wasn’t freezing! I called they said they will be out Thursday to fix it. Thursday came and I had the owner Robert in my house, on the floor and in the fridge and it was his day off! The coils were broke! The fridge was scrap! He gets on the phone makes me a priority for the next day to get a fridge delivered! I felt so honored and blessed at the same time! He was so nice! Next day, Jerry gets me a fridge, Charlie, Joe and Tom are at my house getting the old one out and the new one in! I can’t thank them enough! I’ll be there buying a washer and dryer next month!...
