I joined Crossfit Wicked exactly a year ago. When I joined I considered myself to be in decent shape as I had been doing cross training type fitness for a couple years. My main objective for joining was to be able to do a muscle up before some of my competitive family members. Along the way, I have realized that crossfit is so much more than "playing" around on different kinds of gym equipment and I have fallen in love with the process. I quickly became much stronger and more confident in my lifts and my ability to complete various types of movements that I had never tried before. Crossfit Wicked has been an amazing community that has quickly accepted myself and family with open arms. Now, 6 months pregnant with my second child, I am still able to participate in WODs although often modified. Read moreCrossFit, in my mind, was not something I would ever be capable of doing. It seemed too difficult and only for serious competing athletes. After a year at Wicked I am in the best shape I've ever been in. I fell in love with CrossFit and not just for the workouts but also for the community. The members and coaches at CrossFit Wicked are so welcoming and everyone acts as a family. Motivating one another, pushing each other to be their best and encouraging each other constantly. There is no better way to grow physically and mentally than with so many awesome people supporting you throughout the whole process....
Read moreAs someone just starting out crossfit I had taken a look at several different options in the area both in person and online. In speaking with one of the co-owners I found Crossfit Wicked and its program aimed at someone just starting to be the best option because of his openness and description of what the first 6 weeks would be like.
The program and the regular classes that have followed have been fantastic. All of the coaches (and other members) are supportive, solicitous, helpful and inclusive.
Its fantastic to get back into shape in an environment that is fun, supportive and above all else without judgment to your level of fitness or expertise. I highly recommend Wicked to anyone in the area looking to get in shape and make positive changes...
