   Read moreHate to write a disappointing review about farmer browns I always use to like going there for the fresh produce, chicken salad at the deli, and especially the soups . But I went in there recently and 90%of the shelves and displays were empty? First impression was they were going to be going out of business soon ? But the woman at the register said they were remodeling. Well the last time I was there about 6 months ago maybe longer it looked the same . I asked if the older man and wife still owned it and they said yes . I got the Hungarian mushroom soup and the tomato tortellini soup and to my disappointment they both had so much sodium in it I had 2 spoonfuls and the rest was tossed . Also I got a chocolate chip cookie that tasted stale . I unfortunately won’t be going back. I always thought there soups were homemade but saw a couple of different soups in the kitchen part that were in big long bags. I was told they buy there soup from a manufacturer in Boston maybe where they are getting the soup from are cutting corners on the soup because the last time I got it tasted much different...
   Read moreFarmer Brown's used to have the best chili. It had to have been made with over 50% beef in loaded with large chunks, unlike any chili I've ever had and it kept me going back regularly! That was before covid. Since we returned to our so-called New Normal, Farmer Brown's has changed to some weird kind of new normal, at least with that recipe and no more crowds. They sadly destroyed it. If it has 10% beef I would be surprised. I used to have to wait behind people often hoping they wouldn't run out as people were filling up their containers at the soup bar with what seemed to me to be especially the chili, but the lines are gone and the chili is nothing to write about.
