I was lucky enough to work with Janice on my wedding gown. Janice helped me turn my vision into a reality by hemming my dress, creating and attaching custom straps, and adding a french bustle. I was thrilled with the end result and got many compliments on my dress and specifically the straps she created. From our first conversation, Janice was a wonderful communicator and a helpful resource. She is super talented and experienced and an overall pleasure to work with. When the designer messed up and sent the wrong fabric to use for my straps, Janice was extremely helpful and proactive. She resolved the issue without me having to really even get involved. I’m so lucky to have found Jan in my search for a seamstress. I knew during our first phone call that she’d be perfect for me - she asked me lots of detailed questions, gave me a price range on the phone, and really took her time to understand the dress. It was clear that she is an expert in her craft having done bridal tailoring for decades. She is very kind and I can tell she put a lot of time into getting the dress to fit me despite some of its intricacies. Janice is an absolute dream to work with! She not only did the alterations for my wedding gown, but also for my mother and sister's dresses, as well as my MOH gown for my best friend's wedding. Janice made all of the dresses fit like a glove, was extremely professional and has the cutest (and very clean) studio! Janice was also extremely accommodating, letting me pick up my gown the day before the wedding to avoid having it in my house after my cat tried to destroy it pre-alterations.
