I have stayed out of this since the interactions have between Matt and my Wife Linda but your response to her review is utterly ridiculous and not factual. Allow me to add some detail to the narrative. We ordered the map and I thought of the idea of adding my Wife's family name since it is a town in Italy. Matt said he could put the name on the map or make a small plaque to put off to the side. We decided to ask him to put it on the map. After giving it further thought Linda decided she liked Matt's idea of the plaque better and we went back to the fair in person to change the order rather than try to do so via text. Matt wrote the change on the order paperwork in his file. He was not at the booth when he got there but returned a moment later. Neither Linda nor myself had any issue with him going to the bathroom so that is completely made up by him. From the beginning Matt said he always sends a picture before shipping his artwork... He did not. Upon receiving the map of Italy Matt had not done the plaque as discussed. This is when it got completely unprofessional and actually quite strange. Linda texted Matt about it and he said he had an issue with his phone which should not have mattered since we went in person and he wrote the change on the order. Matt said he would send the little plaque but he did not. Text messages were exchanged with Matt saying he had to work his booth at a show so was delayed. Another time he said he had to get to Home Depot for material... Then another time the story changed to he was waiting on an order from Amazon. At some point Linda asked if he usually did just rectangular plaques or if he had options to choose from and if so if he could send pictures of the shapes so she could pick one. There was NEVER a request to be sent multiple plaques and definitely not asking him to do so at his extra expense. Matt continued to do nothing and Linda started to get frustrated and texted wanting to know what in the world was going on because she was hoping to give the map to her Brother when he was in town visiting. I was there that time when Matt called instead of texting to respond and said he would just send the return label because Linda was clearly unhappy with his work. She said she did not want to and had no intention of returning the piece but just wanted the little plaque with her family name which should have been the case to begin with. It was then that Matt... Not Linda ...said he would put several different style plaques in the mail the next day and that he already had them done. This was clearly a lie since once again he never did send anything. Linda decided to try one more time when nothing arrived after a couple of weeks rather than write a negative review since neither of us are people who tend to do so as can be seen by the many Google reviews I have done. Let the reader decide now that the details have been presented. Maybe this was the one and only time Matt's customer service was this poor but to then try to turn it around on my Wife is nothing short of pathetic.
Since there is no way to respond to the business I had no choice but to do so by way of a second review. You respond to my review with more lies and blame shifting.Google would have no reason whatsoever to remove either review since they are fair and honest unlike your responses. You are AGAIN being disingenuous by claiming the decision was made AFTER receiving the product. We saw you IN PERSON at the same fair 2-3 days after the initial order yet you still attempt to take zero accountability for not sending the photo initially as you said you would or for lying about saying you were going to make the situation right not once but multiple times. It could have been a very simple thing to be a man of your word and admit your mistake and just send the little wooden plaque but you choose instead to attack the integrity of your customer. After much discussion at the fair and via texting after the fact…when I received the map there was an issue with it. He made promises to rectify the issue, but with all the promises he made he had just as many excuses.
