Ordered delivery for someone sick (Covid), they hung the order on door handle. Paid for a quart of chicken noodle soup yet asked for a pint of just chicken broth because I want to be fair to the business knowing broth costs more than noodles and veggies. The broth lid was not secure and leaked all over most of the order. Chicken nuggets, other soup, and Lo mein was fine. Pizza Rolls were 'marinated in broth' as was his rug, floor, counter. $4+ pint of broth was almost empty. They called to say ty, told me what happened yet said nuggets and lo mein were delicious-yet that have covid so the validity of flavor is suspect lol. When I called to let them know, the lady said "I pack and put them on bottom myself"(customer service 101 is never take a complaint personal-take it as someone is affording the opportunity to do better next time.) I said well DID YOU hang them on the door handle? She said "Hold On" after speaking in native language what seemed like forever, she comes back and said "return pizza rolls and we replace" I repeated the sick person does not want to share germs and the purpose was to have it delivered for a sick person.. She said, "Hang them on door and we replace". I told her, let me call them back before you remake to make sure they didn't feed them to the dog or something. Again, being just respectful to their time and money. I called the recipient of food back, they said the nuggets, lo mien and egg drop was good enough, they felt so poor they didn't want to deal with it, just wanted to go to sleep if that was ok with me. I said, of course! my intention was to make them feel better not worse. So I called business back and get an abrupt ok goodbye. Not even a "we're sorry, we appreciate you business, we appreciate you looking out for us" Nothing. I do not want a penny from them, just an "I"m sorry", "We will do better next time" rather than being treated like a thief or scammer would have us return. Mistakes on orders happen and are excusable at times. What is not excusable is POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Buyers beware for a fight if they make a mistake. Read moreThis is my first time ordering at this restaurant, and it'll be my last. The delivery was scary fast, but that's about the only good thing about this experience. I'm guessing they rushed with my order because of the quality of the food.
The coconut shrimp was a MAJOR disappointment. This is NOT what coconut shrimp is supposed to look like. To boot, the tempura batter used on the shrimp wasn't fully cooked (the insides were still soggy), and the sauce won't adhere to it. This is a very poor recipe. Please remedy this for future customers.
The pork fried rice would've been fantastic, if it wasn't burned. It tastes and looks burnt (evident by the black streaks on the carrots). Don't rush yourselves, take the time to get the order right the first time.
Then there's the crab rangoon. They're super salty (they don't have that signature sweet cream cheese taste), and the fried noodle used to make it tastes like cardboard. One of the things I was really looking forward to enjoying, instantly ruined.
The almond cookies were also soggy and tasted like cardboard. That's not okay by any means. That means these cookies are probably OLD. Please follow food safety guidelines at all times, where all food items that aren't refrigerated are discarded after 7 days at most.
The highlight of this meal? Surprise, it was the egg drop soup. It's was actually really good... too bad I won't be ordering from here again.
Since I ordered from GrubHub, I called them because my order wasn't marked as delivered after around 10 minutes of receiving this disappointment. The lady was not only rude, but I had to repeat that I just wanted my order marked as delivered AT LEAST THREE TIMES. Read moreThe only thing that was good was the fried dumplings. Everything else was nasty, undercooked and not seasoned well. I asked for one of my platters to be extra spicy and they couldn't even do that right. Three of our platters came with broccoli and ALL the broccoli was undercooked, hard and not seasoned. I could have went on Youtube and found video recipes for the food I ordered and I would have done a better job at making the food. It was so bad and poorly cooked, I feel like they should have paid my family to eat it. We ended up throwing the food away because since it was undercooked, we didn't want to risk getting sick.
