Unfortunately, I am disappointed in this cemetery. Negatives as follow: A cemetery should look at its best for respect to the people who went before us and for the families of those people. Let alone, burying or cremation of a person that is costly.

•First, my gripe is for several years I have asked that the lawns be graded evenly so no one hurts themselves in walking to a grave. Holes and dips! I was told before this review, it would eventually be taken care of and was lied to. •Second, instead of putting in new trees, I think the roadways in the cemetery should be paved (holes etc) and to boot, it would make the cemetery look nice and well taken care of. The trees that are there, some branches are in need to be cut. •Third, more trash cans is needed

The Good as follow: •Street signs •New trash cans •benches

Back to the cemetery and sitting in the car with my elderly Mother. Along comes a ride on blower. The worker was blowing the leaves etc off from the payment onto the cemetery/tombstones. He came back again and passed by and blew the other side of payment onto the grass/side street near highway. Now, if any of this would have blown on my new vehicle...the cemetery and I would have...

After reading some of the negative reviews here I was nervous about how I'd find my Grandmother's grave. It's 40+ years old. The cemetery was clean, quiet, and well-maintained. It was so peaceful that I saw deer on the property just a few yards away from me. You don't even notice the adjacent busy highway. I didn't notice any overgrown areas. I found the plot easily. From what I could see & I’ll post photos, there were no problems to report. One odd thing I noticed is the soil. It's a weird orange color and sandy consistently. Nothing I plant takes. ( maybe that's the idea?) I also noticed several newer grave sites. They pile all the dirt and flowers on top of the grave that belongs to that person(s). Carefully done to not invade neighboring plots. I think many negative reviews must have been pandemic-related because it appears now all is well. I hope this review may give some families peace of mind. I visited on a Sunday in early...

Our family plot was purchased in 1954 after the death of my grandfather. In the interim, my grandmother, step-uncle, father, uncle and his wife, and finally, this month, my mother have all been interned at OLG cemetery. Throughout all those years my family has never had a bad word for this cemetery. My parents would visit at least two times a year, and after my father died, my sister and I would take my mother twice a year. The cemetery has always been in very well cared for condition. When we were making arrangements for my mother, Kathy and Barrett in the office were very helpful with transference of the deed and supplying a list of nearby restaurants that could host a luncheon after the service at the gravesite.

For those considering this location for the burial of a loved one, just be aware of what they allow on the graves. A large sign is posted just outside of the office building that lets you know what is and...

Jared Klein was murdered on December 26, 2005. On that day, Jared was home with his mom, Christina Muoio, and his sister, Angel, when they heard a knock on the door. Christina answered to find her ex-boyfriend, Nathan Shaw, standing there. Jared was excited to see Shaw, whom he considered his "daddy." When Jared was upstairs and out of sight, Shaw came up from behind Christina, duct-taped her mouth, and started beating her. Shaw had heard that Christina was seeing another man, and was filled with rage. Angel, who had been sleeping, heard the commotion and started screaming. Jared ran downstairs and pleaded with Shaw to stop, crying "Dad, don't!" Shaw punched Jared so hard that he went flying backwards into a DVD stand. Shaw then continued to beat and strangle both Christina and Jared. Christina was strangled so badly that she lost consciousness. While she was out, Shaw bound her, undressed her, and sexually assaulted her. When she came to, she asked Shaw where Jared was. He told her Jared was tied up in the closet. In reality, Shaw had beaten Jared, strangled him, and then stabbed him in the neck with a kitchen knife. Jared's brain was swollen and he was covered in bruises. His body was found with the knife still protruding from the left side of his neck. Christina ran frantically to her neighbor's house and told them what happened. She had been beaten so severely that the neighbor didn't recognize her. Nathan Shaw was arrested and charged with Jared's murder. It took nearly a year and a half for the trial to conclude. He was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison without parole. On top of the life sentence for Jared’s murder, Shaw was given an additional 24 years, 10 months to 49 years, eight months for numerous counts of aggravated assault, rape, theft and indecent assault. Jared was six years old. #grave #cemetery #mausoleum #graves #cemeteries #cemeterylovers #cemeterywandering #cemeterybeauty #cemetery_shots #cemetery_nation #cemeteryexplorer #cemeteryexplorers #famous #famouspeople #famousgraves #famousgrave #graveyard #gravephotographer #gravestone #gravestones #taphophile #taphophilia #celebritygraves #murder #murdervictim #murdervictims #murdervictimsawareness #unsolved #unsolvedcases #unsolvedcasefiles #unsolvedcrime #unsolvedcrimes #truecrimetiktok #truecrime #truecrimecommunity #truecrimetok

In August 2016, Megan and her children were shot by her husband, Mark Short. Short then turned the gun on himself. Willow, the youngest child, had survived a heart transplant at 6 days old, and her story made national headlines. The children were found in their pajamas with pillows and blankets around them as if they were having a sleepover in the living room. Short carried out the murder suicide on the day his wife was planning to leave him after complaining about domestic abuse. Three weeks earlier, police were called to the Short’s home for a domestic dispute, but no charges were filed. Police said Megan was afraid of her husband, so they told her how to obtain a protection-from-abuse order. She declined to do so. A note was found in the home's dining room, in which Short admitted to purchasing a gun and killing his family. He purchased the .38-caliber five-shot revolver handgun and a stock of ammunition from a licensed gun dealership. Short was “demoted” at his job on August 1. Four days later, the day before he killed his family, he took his three children to Hershey Park. Police found their bodies and the family dog in the family’s home, dead from gunshot wounds. Megan was 33 years old. Lianna was 8, Mark Jr. was 5, and Willow was 2. About 4,000 women are killed by their current or former partners every year. Three-quarters of those deaths occur while the women attempt to leave the relationship or have already left, according to Domestic Abuse Shelter, a group working against domestic violence. #grave #cemetery #mausoleum #graves #cemeteries #cemeterylovers #cemeterywandering #cemeterybeauty #cemetery_shots #cemetery_nation #cemeteryexplorer #cemeteryexplorers #famous #famouspeople #famousgraves #famousgrave #graveyard #gravephotographer #gravestone #gravestones #taphophile #taphophilia #celebritygraves #meganshort #murder #murdervictimsawareness #murdervictim #murdervictims #domesticabuseawareness #domesticviolenceawareness #domesticabuse #domesticviolence #truecrimetiktok #truecrime #truecrimecommunity

Colleen Slemmer was 19 when she was murdered by a woman named Christa Pike. Pike thought Colleen was trying to steal her boyfriend, Tadaryl Shipp. Along with a friend named Shadolla Peterson, Pike and Shipp led Colleen to an isolated steam plant near the University of Tennessee campus. They claimed to want to make peace with her by smoking marijuana together. Once there, Pike and Shipp attacked Colleen for 30 minutes. They beat her, taunted her, and slashed her repeatedly with a box cutter. They also carved a pentagram into her chest. Then, Pike smashed her skull with a chunk of asphalt. Pike kept a piece of Colleen's skull and showed it off around campus. 36 hours later, all three were arrested. Pike was given the death penalty, Shipp was given a life sentence, and Peterson received probation for cooperating. #grave #cemetery #mausoleum #graves #cemeteries #cemeterylovers #cemeterywandering #cemeterybeauty #cemetery_shots #cemetery_nation #cemeteryexplorer #cemeteryexplorers #famous #famouspeople #famousgraves #famousgrave #graveyard #gravephotographer #gravestone #gravestones #taphophile #taphophilia #celebritygraves #colleenslemmer #christapike #murder #murdervictim #murdervictimsawareness #truecrime #murdervictims
