I continue to be impressed with Pool World. We switched to Pool World from another local company several years ago. I was not happy with the manner in which the office staff spoke to customers at the first company that we worked with. A neighbor suggested we try Pool World. Originally, we used them for our openings and closings. The fellas that they sent over always did a good job and had decent or better attitudes. We then used Pool World to convert our pool to salt water. We love the salt water pool and have had no issues with the chlorine generator after 6 or 7 years of use. We then used Pool World to replace our pool's safety cover. This is when I had the opportunity to meet Dave, Pool World's owner. He's a very nice guy. He visited the house, took measurements, showed me different material options, made recommendations, and provided a price. The new cover was delivered and has been perfect for the last several seasons that we have had it. Midway through the summer of 2021, our heater crapped out. Pool World ordered and installed a new heater for us. They provided a fair price (I shopped around to price-check). This season, 2022, we started to get a High Limit 2 error code. We called for service under the existing warranty. The woman who answers the phone in the office is always very sweet and accommodating, she's a pleasure to deal with. A service appointment was scheduled and technicians arrived. They performed a repair under the warranty (replaced a limit switch). I tested the heater and the same error code appeared after several minutes. I called Pool World again. Another appointment was scheduled. This time, Dave the owner took matters into his own hands, visited our home, repaired the heater himself, returned after 30 or 40 minutes to confirm it was still operating properly, spoke with my wife and explained everything from start to finish and also asked us to call the office and leave a voicemail later in the evening to confirm that the heater was still operating properly. He said if it was not, he would return the following day and attempt another diagnosis.
I appreciate this level of service. Dave could have sent another technician to our home while he sat in his air-conditioned office, but instead he wanted to make sure that we were taken care of and satisfied. With the experiences that Dave and Pool World have provided to us so far, we will continue to be loyal...
Read moreSpring 2021 we contracted with PoolWorld to install a new pool liner, installation was promised for the first week of July ($3000.00+). After numerous delays the liner was installed in late September. Immediately after installation the pool began leaking as much as four inches per week. PoolWorld technicians were very professional and courteous, they made numerous service calls to repair the leak but were unable to do so. PoolWorld sent a diver to inspect the pool and the diver determined the leak was in the pool light assembly, the diver disassembled the light assembly and it remained that way after the winter cover was put on the pool. PoolWorld promised to fix the leak in March. Numerous calls for an appointment were left unreturned. Late April PoolWorld finally sent technicians, they pulled back the liner and saw the water level was very high (well above the light assembly. The technicians noted on the service ticket the repair in the fall fixed the problem. Unfortunately, no repair ever occurred in the fall by PoolWorld. Opened the pool a month ago and the pool continues to leak to the same level as before (4 inches per week), then stops leaking. Although the liner installation is under warranty, PoolWorld told me today the leak is my problem. I must hire a diver to find and repair the leak, and if they determine it was their fault they will reimburse us. We are dismayed and certainly will not use their services, nor recommend their...
Read moreIn May, we had landscape lights installed around our in-ground pool. The electrician we hired for the job swore they were very familiar with Pentair control panels. Upon completion of the work, the electrician stated there were no available relays on the board to automate the lights through the Pentair app. Pool World explicitly stated during installation there were several open relays on the panel expressly for this purpose. The electrician then sent their “most experienced” employee to resolve the issue. This seasoned electrician said we had to buy a new $1,000 board to make the lights work as originally intended. We immediately called Pool World for assistance and spoke with the owner Dave who reassured us the panel was more than capable of supporting this automation with no change to the existing board or relays. We scheduled an appointment with Pool World the same week to address the issue and Dave himself had everything working within a hour. He was courteous and thorough even offering to address any other questions/concerns we had with the equipment. We greatly appreciate Pool World’s responsiveness and willingness to help us out of this difficult situation. Dave is very knowledgeable and only selects the highest quality products for his customers. We highly recommend them for pool installation and service. Discerning customers will immediately recognize the difference between Pool World...
