I wish I could leave a negative star. You will waste 2.5 hours of your life and about 17 dollars a pop. Middletown's finest show up here, it's ran by a family who cannot run a business or a side show act as it seems. I have never been more disappointed in a haunted attraction in my life. Go to land of illusion which is a 10/10. 1.) Called ahead to check for a wait time we live 45 minutes away. We were told even with a line it would only be twenty minutes tops, there is no fast line pass, as it mentions on their website. So we go there and wait in a line for 2.5 hours. Not to mention they take a thirty minute break without announcing it and make everybody wait in line. 2.) Then we were cut in line multiple times and then an entire family of fifteen or more cut us so we go to the ticket booth to let them know and they do nothing about it. After fighting with them they call the "security" guard over to handle it I walk with them to point out the people who only had to waited in line for 15 minutes to make them wait as everyone behind them had and he didn't make them move or anything and told them to socially distance themselves. After he said this he asks us to see him after we've went through the line. We watched the cutters go through the house and out the door to their car, very happy I'm sure because they are Middletown's finest. When we approach the security guard he tells us they were a problem and were escorted off the property. Then we go to our car and there they all are strung out in their cars. 3.) Other than a small amount of props you will be able to point out every scare throughout the entire haunt and be super bored. I...
Read moreThis place is absolutely ridiculous. My boyfriend was accused of punching wall props. s was absolutely inaccurate. We were escorted out 10 minutes into the attraction so we asked to speak to the manager/owner. We told him that no one in our group was doing anything wrong, we were walking down a long hallway when a female clown came up grabbed my boyfriend and said he needed to leave. We were all shocked at this. We asked if the attraction had cameras, they said they did. He went to the back and asked the girl who accused him of hitting the props her side of the story. When he came back he said "three different people confirmed my boyfriend of hitting props." There was nothing he could do. We asked him to review the tapes, he refused and said he didn't have time to do that. I spent $50 there that night for 10 minutes and be wrongfully accused. We were absolutely willing to review the tapes to prove our innocence because we all knew that we never did anything wrong. Then the owner Ed Short even jumped through the window and tried intimidating my sister-in-law. We were all very upset. We at least wanted to prove through the video tapes that we did nothing wrong, and he wasn't even willing to do that. his was absolute horrible service and the owner in particular due to his vulgar language towards his customers, very unprofessional. I hope when he watches back his tapes that he realizes that his employee that accused customers of wrong doing is a complete idiot and I hope she is...
Read moreI remember going to this haunted house many moons ago (when they first started). I believe they were located in an old shopping center, but I am not one hundred percent on that. Back then, it was good, but it wasn't great. However, the new and improved version of Chambers of Horrors is more than worth the $12 entry fee. From the very start (when your waiting in line), the excitement begins, and only gets better from there. From the sets to the props and actors, you will NOT be let down with Chambers of Horrors. The simple fact that the building itself is beautifully crafted is an added bonus to the attraction, but the use of space in the actual structure is superb. The stage setting and props are only half of the excitement that you will find behind those walls. I have been to many a haunted house and never have I seen a great performance by the actors. The likeliness of the actors in the Chambers of Horror being theatre majors in some local college, but the way they work together to provide the visitors the thrills and chills they came for is impossibly amazing! From trap doors, to tight closed in spaces, and the most inconspicuous of props, you're sure to get a kick out of this amazing attraction! If I had more than two hands, I would give more than two thumbs up! This is a must see each Halloween...
