My partner and I came here for our date night. It was our first time here. First off, you walk in to this super cute and cozy little place. Right now, decorated all nice for Christmas. The food is to die for. We had the Crab Rangoon appetizer. They were so fresh and so creamy, they were addicting. The sauce for them is also sweet and flavorful and pairs so well with them. I also had an egg roll, and it was the freshest most delicious egg roll I’ve ever had. The sauce for it was very yummy and paired well with it. I had the Szechuan Chicken. It was made fresh. It was the perfect amount of spicey. It was absolutely flavorful and delicious. My partner had the Shrimp Lobster sauce entree. He said it was absolutely perfect and delicious. For dessert, we split a piece of pumpkin cheesecake that was topped with peaches and a sauce. The flavors paired so well. It’s delicious. The issue we had was with our server. We don’t know her name. She was a colored woman wearing a bandanna at the time. She seemed polite. However, she didn’t seem to care about taking care of our drink order. She put down water. She never went of soda, teas, juice, or anything. She only went over alcohol. We don’t drink. Therefore she brought our appetizers and even our entrées without bothering to get us drinks. She wasn’t good at making sure the glass of water got refilled either. My partner finally asked about nonalcoholic drinks, and she seemed offended that he asked. Finally got a soda to finish my meal with. We did ask for a virgin pina colada. Ben made it for me, and it was super delicious. I found it very kind of him to take the time to make me a virgin drink when the bar was a little busy. Getting checked out so that we could go home, was a nightmare. It was not horribly busy in there. However, there was a bigger party of people she was way more attentive to. We ended up being there for 2 hours because of her service. We couldn’t get her to bring us the check. We had to finally demand it. She gave it to us, then never came back. I do mean never. Ben was working the bar. He even ended up noticing how long we waited and he finally came over and checked us out himself. This was greatly appreciated. Ben is a very sweet man. He genuinely cares about his guests. His restaurant is amazing. I do highly recommend the place. The food is absolutely great quality. It’s worth the price for sure. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night. I’m not going to let the server experience ruin how awesome this place is. I do have to say tho, the cash tip we left on the table should’ve definitely gone to Ben...
Read moreWe went here for Thanksgiving. There were 4 of us in the party. We made prior reservations to insure seating. When we arrived I first noticed that the restaurant seemed small. We came in the door and were seated immediately. The restaurant was very quaint and had the feel of a 1930's hang out. Pictures of gangsters lined the wood paneled walls and Rat Pack music filled the air. There is only about 20 tables which is why reservations are incourged. The waitress Jennifer promptly took our drink orders. The fresh brewed iced tea was refreshing and not overly brewed or too watered down. We also ordered wine with our meals (I highly recommend the Woodbridge Moscato.). They had a special menu (two salad options, 3 main courses to choose from, two sides, warm fresh bread and 3 homemade pie options). All of the salad dressings are made in house. I chose the sweet parsley and was happy with my choice. My husband was plesently surprised at the freshness of the house prepared thousand island dressing. We were also served warm french bread. All 4 of us ordered the Thanksgiving special... Roasted young turkey, sage dressing, mashed potatoes, corn pudding (1 of us ordered the fresh country style green beans with diced ham and sautéed onions) and fresh cranberry relish. Everthing was cooked to perfection. The turkey was moist and sweet. The mashed potatoes were whipped without any lumps. The dressing was moist and not dry at all. The cranberries were sweet and poped in your mouth when you bit into them. We orderd our desserts to go. All in all we will be coming back to enjoy the homemade and delectable meals...
Read moreFood was great but the friendly service makes it special. We decided to try this cute restaurant tonight that we saw while driving around last week. So glad we did. As soon as we walked in we were treated like friends by the two gentlemen that own/run the restaurant. We don’t usually like overly friendly service but they didn’t make us feel intruded at all. They have a variety of food but we chose the crab rangoons, egg rolls, sweet and sour chicken and pepper steak. The egg rolls could have been a meal on their own with what was inside and absolutely delicious. The crab rangoons were perfect and the dipping sauce was great and I normally don’t dip them. Our meals were just how we liked and you could tell it was all fresh. The pepper steak wasn’t over run by onions like other places seem to do which was perfect. Unfortunately we didn’t have room for desert but next time we will be sure to save space as I read they are worth it. Can’t...
