I am a client of theirs right now, but they are dropping me July 7 because they are not family oriented my situation is unique I’m confined to a wheelchair and have serval palsy and I need assistance with all physical thing and I am a single mother of four beautiful children and they watch the children and I to be separated they would care for me but they wouldn’t assist me anymore with going out in the community with the children and laundry and housework and all of that stuff In the beginning it was fine and they knew my entire story and my life before I started with them I have been with Accra For 3 years Then some drama happened with one of my PCs and they sent me a letter and said they are no longer my company but I think it’s a bunch of baloney that a mother has to be separated from her children in order to get care. I wasn’t asking for them to come baby sit my children I was asking for assistance if I needed it. That’s what I thought they were there for to make my life better and easier and not sit there telling me that I have to stop being a mother and I cannot take my children out and about I am extremely proud and active I love being a mom! If I was physically able I would be doing all of these things by myself anyway so I don’t see the problem there wasn’t a problem for three years up until just a couple days ago like I had said. I have enough to deal with I should not have to deal with this too I deserve to have a life like everyone else and to live it with my children around and I deserve to have Quality of life as well. Read moreIve had to call every single pay period to inform accra payroll that they did not pay me & they give me the lamest excuses instead of taking ownership that they’ve made a mistake. This last pay period they gave me 2 separate confirmation emails that ive submitted both time sheets & now are telling me they never received my time card. Well how is that & you sent two confirmation emails? The payroll rep that i spoke with this morning had the nastiest attitude & was getting upset that that i stated they never paid me, i would think i would be the one thats mad & upset. They also sent me a message in my care portal that i cannot access & i keep telling them that i cant access it & keep switching me from dept to dept with no resolution. They sent me an important letter in my care portal, i asked them to send it to my personal email they did but i asked them what does it mean & they give me some explanation that states i wont be paid after 11/3/25 - i asked why she says ohh idk I've talked to at-least 3 people (women) that stated the same exact thing. Read moreAccra Care used to be great to have as an FMS provider. This year has proven to be the exact opposite. Accra has made decisions to change how they do things without informing the person receiving services. Not that the decisions are official in paperwork. Decisions that they have made off the cuff. They also have become overly inundated and need more staff. I used to be able to get ahold of my worker within 24 hours. Now it takes a week or more to hear back from my worker. My worker forgets things that were already discussed and approved a month prior just to turn around and deny that which was already approved with email evidence. It also takes multiple weeks for my worker to place an order for anything when during prior years as long as I requested an order placed at the beginning of a pay week the order would be placed within 2 business days. I still haven't been reimbursed for things approved that I paid out of pocket for at the end of my prior waiver year. Money I needed reimbursed to pay bills.
