If I could leave a zero-star rating for Adogo, I would!! This place is an absolute disgrace, if you care about your dog DO NOT send them to Adogo! I recently sent my dog there for their evaluation screening to see if he would be a good fit for their boarding and I was appalled that they consider themselves a doggy daycare/ boarding facility. I went on a tour of the place when I dropped my dog off and immediately wanted to walk out the door with him, but I didn’t want to judge the facility based on looks…I should’ve went with my gut and taken him home with me. The kennel area looks like jail for dogs, they feed the dogs through a small little door on the bottom of the kennel, I’ve seen humane society have nicer areas for the dogs in their care. I watched my dog on the camera most of the day to see how he was doing and every single dog in there looked bored out of their minds, mine included. The staff NEVER ONCE interacted with the dogs not a single time did, I see a worker touch a single dog, there was no toys for them to play with, and they never let the dogs outside ONCE!!! They told me they wouldn’t bring them outside because it was “too wet outside” well duh this is Minnesota and every dog owner is aware that it gets wet out during the spring. When they told me this, I expected they meant they weren’t taking them out to play but I would’ve never thought they meant that for potty breaks too. I would’ve much rather picked up a dirty, wet dog then witness every dog in the daycare go to the bathroom inside. My dog has never gone potty in the house since he was potty trained, and he was forced to pee on the floor (which I saw on camera) because they wouldn’t take them outside. I will never use Adogo for any service even if they were the very last resort, my dog could fend better for himself at home! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR DOG, they only care about the money in your pocket! A place that truly cares about the well-being of your dog would let them outside for potty breaks, give them toys to play with, or at a minimum play with them, themselves if there are no toys. All my dog did and many others was follow the worker around when they cleaned up all of the potty messes!
Update: I meant to update this review not long after I posted it originally 3 years ago but forgot until I randomly got an email saying people have found it helpful. Not long after I posted this review, I was contacted by the owner/manager (I can’t remember now the exact position he held) but I do remember his aggressive/threatening phone call clear as day to remove this review, so keep that in mind, this was trying to be covered up but I chose to leave it to enlighten those...
Read moreLet me start out that my review is completely pointed towards ownership and the policies or lack there of, that they uphold in running this business. For the most part the employees have been friendly and nice when picking up or dropping off. Everything started out great... I boarded my energetic and friendly dog at this location 2 times before we started getting "warnings" about our dog jumping the divider between the different dog size play areas outside. Loves to run, play, interact with all kinds and sizes of dogs. My dog is a socializer and loves interating. I find it odd that if the dogs are to be kept separate due to size outside, then why is the divider so low that dogs can jump it? And then, every time I asked about the divider height I was told it was 3ft, then 4ft, then 5ft... I also blindly asked an employee to mimic the divider height by extending their arm outward... which led to the height growing by 2 feet once she figured out why I was asking. So then I went on to ask what steps were taken to prevent the jumping or redirect the dogs attention to other things. No redirection... but that is when I noticed how much my dog smelled and asked what the deal was with that, turns out the only way they could stop her from jumping was to spray her with a hose... she was on a 3 day stay... It took 3 baths to remove the smell. Who would have thought, a place that specializes in boarding and watching dogs cannot use simple commands or redirections to stop an excited dog from wanting to play with other dogs. Also, you pay good money to board them, and will receive ZERO feedback... unless they like jumping dividers. me -"how was my dog's stay? Adogo staff - "ohhh, ummm it was good" me - "oh really, she was boarded for 3 days, nothing fun or exciting happened?" Adogo staff - "no... not seeing anything in the notes" me-"so you can't tell me if she seemed ok, or if she played well, or even if she ate well all weekend?" Adogo staff - "no... nothing in the notes"
I was also laughed at while on the phone when receiving my dogs Adogo ban... which felt great.
Disappointed to say the least.
This place is beyond...

At first, we were so pleased with the service, the care and friendly staff but we don't think we'll ever return to this location.
This is now the second time in a row that we brought our two dogs to the Minnetonka location for extended and overnight stays 5+ nights. Both times our dogs came home with kennel cough and confirmed with our Vet.
Each time our dogs returned home, we'd notice the cough the immediate day or the next day. We would have respected and appreciated the transparency and heads up instead of letting us notice it ourselves once the dogs are home.
We're also sure the staff were aware of the issue prior to pick up. The very morning of pick up, we checked in on our dogs via camera and weren't able to see them on any of the three different size daycare. After calling to confirm the size daycare they were in, we watched for at least 15-20 minutes and still did not see either one of them come into camera view. We called back a second time to ask about our dogs and we're told they've been in daycare all day. (the second call was honest because after a long week away, I just wanted to see my dogs running around, happy and playing)
Moments after the second phone call, our dogs quickly came running into camera view for about 3 minutes or so then disappear again for the next 10 minutes that we continued to watch. While our dogs were on camera view for the 3 minutes, they were both active, especially the smaller of the two. She was running around, hyper, playing and following the crowd of dogs so its hard to believe that for the total 20-30 minutes or so that we watched on camera, that they, or at least the smaller dog was only visible for the short 3 minutes -- If they had really been in daycare all day. It sure felt like they had just brought down our dogs for the short few minutes to seem like they have been in daycare all day.
We can understand that with the large number of dogs especially over a holiday weekend that sometimes it may not be preventable, however, we would have respected and appreciated the honesty and heads up so we could have better care for our dogs upon...
