About a little over a year ago I saw Carly for my second round of Kybella injections. The office was fully packed (during covid) and I was seated in the middle hall area while she put lidocaine gel on my neck/ chin area. After about 45 min, I went into the room on the right. As I walked in, I saw a needle and bloody paper towels on the counter. She cleaned up the mess as I waited for my second round of kybella. Longer story short, a month after my injections, my swelling never went away and I formed a bunch of large hard painful nodules. Carly assessed the nodules and had the overseeing MD, Dr Weissman, call in antibiotics for me. After the 2nd antibiotic from their office, and the symptoms getting worse and painful, I decided to see my dermatologist. My dermatologist started my on a prednisone pack right away and the nodules went down but then returned. His diagnosis was mycobacterium abscesses. He then cultured one of the nodules which confirmed the diagnosis. In 2021 I had to see an infectious disease dr to oversee the prognosis and I have now been on Clarithromycin for a year and continue to get kenalog injections in the nodules from my Derm. The nodules are still there, but 80-90% better compared to what they were the first month. From the beginning, Carly was reimbursing me my Derm copayments ($50 a visit) because I was seeing him every week. As of a few months ago, Carly is refusing to reimburse me my copays and will not give me her insurance information. I even sent her my insurance claims for proof. She has told me she lives in Tennessee now and the MV practices has sold, and she will only give her insurance information to my lawyer. Yet her name is still on the Speakeasy site.
